Honestly lawyering up should be the very last resort.. because the payoff is rather meagre in small claims court.
Do consult a law professional though.
Doesn't car dealership have their own standard committee etc too? In this case, small gov and self policing hurts the OP.
If it is done procedurally.. OP shouldn't have left the lot in the first place.

bring a lawyer. nip this in the butt at the first meeting, whenever that happens. Dont let them play games, dont give them the opportunity to offer a remedy. Go there, with a lawyer, and demand a new car. this is ludicrous.
For those of you too lazy to type out a full email, I have written it so now you can copy and paste it...
Yes i don't have the best English, so you know... haha... just bear with it xD
and I took the pictures of LP700-4
I am writing to ask for your help on a case of mistreated customer at the mercy of a irresponsible car dealership in Richmond BC. Namely Subaru Richmond, a quick Google search will net you numerous horror stories from this car dealership.
A fellow forum member from Revscene.net has recently acquired a brand new Subaru Impreza WRX STi from the dealership, and upon delivery, the car's paint was "less than pristine" to say the least. After numerous attempts by the customer to have the dealership fix the problem over the course of a month (even to pay the dealership an extra $300 for a "detailing" job). The car was still returned to the customer in horrible shape. I have attached 10 images of the said "detail" job of a BRAND NEW car.
At this point, the customer has exhausted all options and wants to reach out to the community for help on dealing with this issue. I hope you find it worth your while to notify the public of such horrible customer service from Richmond Subaru, and also help my fellow friend out and bring justice to this situation.
I would like to bring to your attention on a case of mistreated customer at the mercy of a irresponsible car dealership in Richmond BC. Namely Subaru Richmond, a quick Google search will net you numerous horror stories from this car dealership.

At this point, the customer has exhausted all options on dealing with this issue. As the PR manager of Subaru Canada, I hope you find it worth your while to help my fellow friend out and bring justice to this situation. As car enthusiasts, we love that Subaru offer cars like the WRX and STi to consumers, as this incident has great negative impact on the business image of Subaru, please take this opportunity and show us consumers that Subaru can not only make great cars, but also take care of their customers.
My name is Clint and I am a member of Revscene, an online automotive enthusiast forum. As I am sure you are aware, one of our members recently had a very troubling incident with Richmond Subaru involving the delivery of a brand new vehicle in terrible condition and the refusal of the dealership to take responsibility and make any reasonable rectifications. Despite many diplomatic and patient attempts for a mutually fair remedial response, the staff at the dealership (including the general manager named Warren) have not only been unhelpful and unyielding, but also rude and even borderline hostile.
The scope and magnitude of this incident has spread extremely quickly. A number of various other automotive enthusiast forums on the internet have been informed and thousands of people have been urged to stay away from this dealership through the glory of social media. The incident is now being made aware not only on a national scale, but also international.
As you can see, this incident is not only about the disgusting and sub-par level of customer service that Richmond Subaru exhibits and the negative ramifications this has on Subaru Motors as a corporation, but it is also demonstrative of the power of social media, and just how hard a community will fight back when one of its members have been wronged by a bunch of tyrannical professionals who under-estimated the power of 20 year old kid and his community behind him all made possible by social media.
I believe that the scope and magnitude of the situation alone will make for a very compelling and interesting story, especially for a talented professional such as yourself.
I understand that you are extremely busy and I do want to thank you for taking the time to read my request for the coverage of this story.
Should you have any questions regarding this incident, please do not hesitate to contact me via email.

Someone should mention that even people in Toronto and Texas know about this case. I don't know how many local issues have ever spread across North America from right here in Richmond, BC.
You would think that Richmond Subaru would have smartened up and realized how bad this is and this is how they are choosing to deal with it
I'm not your typical rich kid on Revscene who mommy and daddy bought their car for him, I saved an entire year driving around an echo, keeping my expenses ultra low, and I can finally afford my dream car through lease>own. Everything is paid for by me, I may only be 20, but I am willing to work for what I want, I am also willing to fight for what is right.
All that is said, I cannot afford a lawyer, I will not drag my parents into this because they have the money and I do not, I have more self respect then that. I will fight this on my own with the community.
It was a stupid buy, eating away at my entire pay cheque every time, but you know what? I'm extremely happy I have an STI, I'm extremely happy I could afford one and own one, call it my own.
Right now, I have twice the amount of grey hair, I've been majorly sick for the past week or so due to this unwanted stress from dealing with the car (and work), I've been skipping out on work because the dealership wants me to sacrifice my time in order to fix their mistakes. I want what is rightfully mine, a brand new STI with no flaws, the money I gave them trying to fix it, and the wasted time and effort going back and worth.
I expect nothing less, like many of you have said, being jerked around for a month with no results, I have had enough.
I demand a new car without the scratches and bullshit, I demand a car that hasn't been bagged for 30 KM back from the port, I demand not to be treated like some spoiled punk, I worked for what is mine, I do not expect this kind of treatment from a professional work environment. Especially a place that I dropped 50k on.
That being said, Tuesday, 6PM, that is set in stone.
Did you guys know that Google Ads for "Richmond Subaru" and "Subaru" go for really cheap if you target it to the lower mainland? Less than a dollar a day....
This guy's just giving people more and more reasons to dislike him. When he can't even spell a customer's name correctly, it just goes to show how little he even cares.

the fact that he spelled your name brain, and from that 2 line message, it just shows he doesnt care and he is being very dismissive and not apologetic at all. Man this guy needs some sort of customer relations course.
you should post that msg on their facebook and let ppl know that he doesnt even care to spell the customers name correctly. that will add fuel to the fire.
If you walk into yoahan facing No. 3 road. Then turn right where the side section of the food court is, it's usually empty there and more quiet. I mean I suggest you guys meet there, grab a drink, some snacks, and wait for Belaud.
I think Fresh Elements in the food court is still doing the Grand Opening promotion where its buy one get one free original or green tea (must be the same drinks). I tried it there cuz a friend works there and it's pretty decent stuff compared to other places, so you guys can probably buddy up lol. Good luck guys, sorry I can't be there because I won't be in the city but keep us updated on the forums nevertheless
I read it all, and it makes my blood boil! I hope the GM can, I mean, WILL do something for you. This is not good business practice and its sad they can't treat everyone with the same respect. I'm sure if a 50 year old in the same position as you went in, the outcome may be slightly different. Its a sad world we live in.
Seriously, I've said it over at NASIOC, stop wasting your time trying to deal with the manager... he can't so shit.
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE OWNER
I wouldn't go back to the dealership again unless it was to meet with the owner. You're just waisting your time...
Anyone know who is the owner of Richmond Subaru?
the owner, if it's the same from when i worked there his name is tom. he runs a few dealerships here in vancouver as well as a couple in calgary. i believe he lives in calgary and only visits here a few times in the year.

And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Just beware that if you don't tell the other person that you're recording, it's not admissible should anything go to court. If anything, get everything down in writing with both your and the GM's signature, along with another witness. That way if they promise something and then renege on it, you have some sort of proof.
As for everyone on here, I just want to suggest that you all exercise a bit of caution should you guys decide to do the meet across the road. I'd hate to see anyone do anything to hurt the OP's chance of being reimbursed. The same caution goes towards what sort of imfornation you pull up from the intrawebs.

+1 If you guys were to have a meet there I would also suggest it be after this meeting. Then when and if they don't take care of it, set something up and get the media'a attention. Posted via RS Mobile

IMO do NOT go there as a crew. Nothing can come of that but trouble. Someone more experienced go accompany belaud and be a witness and advisor but nothing more. As Lomac said, we do not want to hurt Belauds chances of getting his car replaced because of an impulsive incident.
