RCubed, let us know when you're free for an unofficial meet. I would gladly put one of these on my car.

That's pretty awesome.

No joke, I've gotten better detail jobs/wash jobs from freaking girl scouts holding a fundraising car wash in a McDonald's parkinglot.

Hell, I've shat better detail jobs than that. Literally, better looking paint has come out of my anus.

Here's what I would do:

Fight and get as much as I could (new car or new paint job)

Be happy...

Get nothing...

I'd NEVER wash my car, I'd drive the CRAP out of it, Race it, Drift it, beat it like a red headed step child and return it back to Richmond Subaru with a big grin on my face and a big fuck you!

But that being said, Richmond Subaru doesn't actually own the car, so even if you did all that, it's not like they are going to be hurt directly from your car in any way. It's going to be the leasing company as they own the car....

Regardless, you can still walk away when you lease is up so it's not like you are stuck with this car forever.

Still shouldn't have to deal with this crap and it should be fixed, but it's not going to be the end of the world.

10 years down the road, you'll probably be laughing about it... Hold that thought anyway!

Cheers.

Jay

Thanks Jay,

I wish to buy it out after, thus the reason for the short term 2 year lease and the mega down payment. I am not wasting another 2 years of my life just to re-lease another STI, this is my dream car, I plan to keep it. I am essentially paying 160% (or so) sticker price if I have to re-lease.

I am not wanting a repaint either for the same reason, nor do I want to keep the car as it is.

I'm standing behind you bro. I only met you once (At Marine/Byrne) I have the DGM STi (Nasioc username: Sh1ftG34r) But I can tell you NO ONE deserves to be screwed over, especially they way Richmond Subaru is dealing with you. I have sent letters and tweets to Subaru Canada, Lynda Steele and Richmond Subaru. I wish you the best of luck bro! I can't be there tomorrow, I HAVE to work since we are short staffed but I'm going to check this thread later on. Update us for sure. Cheers and take care dude. Remember don't settle for anything less then what you deserve. You have the whole community/Nasioc/Revscene/IWSTI/WSC/Many other forums all behind you.

I had a similar experience with Scott Subaru where they traded the car I had ordered (2012 swp STi) for damaged STi. It had deep gouges through to the panel. Luckily I spotted them before I took delivery. They were originally covered in snow. after a month of fighting with Scott Subaru I got my deposit back and got the car I wanted from Subaru Calgary 2 Weeks later.

BTW Subaru Calgary has awesome customer client relations.

I hope you end up getting a new car in the end. You're not paying 50K for a repainted car, you're paying 50K for a NEW car.

If you guys arrive at 5:30, I will already be in, I can probably give you the answers at around 5:50 to 6:20, depending on how long it takes, it may even only take 2 minutes. I don't know. I will for sure keep you guys updated in an hour.

^for what? And im sure even if they had the stupidity to do that, Subaru Canada wouldn't let that just slide.

Thats actually kinda better, the media would be even more interested.

I'd rather see Belaud receive compensation and a resolution to all of this. I wouldn't want this to be dragged out any longer for Belaud's sake.

I doubt any of us would be "laughing" if Richmond Subaru threatened to sue Belaud.
