lol... holy fuck.. timeline on when you get your car back? |
today, at noon, i'm going to just rage. I've tried being nice, but it seems I'm actually dealing with a sleeze of a dealership. |
Was that your documentation fee or whatever admin fees dealers tack on? There's usually no way to get out of those, and those are outside of the negotiated price. But if they added the admin charge on top of 42,895, I feel for you. |
Ugh makes me mad just reading this. Posted via RS Mobile |
It is not, all the fees are below the 42,895 price |

At this point, its not just about compensation, I want my car back, its been 3 weeks, I've only put 1500km's on it, I've had no weekends with it, and the car is not even broken in! Ive only driven to work with it, there was no time for me to enjoy the fucking thing. |
Look on your bill of sale and see where they snuck in the $600 or whatever the difference was. Then report back ;) Or was it just added into the vehicle price and not listed seperately? |
I just talked to them, the $600 is a "leasing" fee from toyota, its hard to believe when its not stated. Its included with the vehicle price. |

I guess you should have based your purchased on the dealership that had the best reviews. Richmond was not that friendly to deal with, when i bought my STi in 04 |
based on my dealings. not rumors or reading now. fun time, I got the car back, with swirls on it, the exact same amount. Kam just told me this is "transit coating", and it will NEVER come off, I'm having a VERY hard time believing that. Someone fill me in? |
Have you spoken to Subaru Canada? Because quite frankly, this is getting out of hand. That, or you are one hell of a patient man and I commend you for that. I would have shat bricks weeks ago. |

They were all good and you never thought about loyalty and sticking to one dealership? |
i actually think its time for you to hit up Linda Steele from CTV if you want any decent compensation back. You paid whatever you did for a BRAND NEW car, and the one you have, does not look "brand new". |
From my experience shopping for cars in Richmond is the worst. They just dont give a shit about the client, for them its all about the sale. Ive done my fair share of looking at cars in Richmond and I can say every dealership I went to, the sales guy never came up to see how I was doing or if I was interested. The only nice thing about Richmond is they have all the dealerships in one area. When I was looking for my first car to purchase, I was looking at a 09 Corolla base with all the electronics.. Walked into Richmond finally found a sales guy and first thing he said was no deals . I was like :seriously: turned around and walked out. Ended up going to Toyota on Marine and Fraser and just as we parked the car a sales guy comes and greets us. We told him what we were looking for and we got the right price within the first 30mins of getting there. Even better they offered it at 0% financing when I was expecting 1.9%.. So I was sold.. To this day I still get follow ups from my sales guy and he still calls to wish me a happy b-day on my b-day.. Because of the customer satisfaction I have received, I have sent everyone I know that is looking for a Toyota to him and if I were to buy another car it would be from them. |
richmond dealerships r used to having mainlanders walking in, pickin the car they want, drop a wad of cash without negotiating, and drive off. every dealership i went to within richmond had horrible service, where as any OTHER dealership outside of richmond had great customer service, even when i told them im just here to check out cars, not looking to buy. i seriously think u need to contact subaru of canada ASAP as this is ridiculous. go on nasioc, vancouver section, and ask for help, ur cars paint condition is getting thinner and thinner each n every time they detail (polish if they do it right) and its only a matter f time before bare metals show. |
Ive finally gotten to the GM, Warren. We checked the car out, he was nice at first, until money came into prospect, then he turned into the biggest dick Ive heard. "Once i give you this business card, I don't ever want to see your face here again." I started yelling once one of the Sales/Service came out and said "Listen here, in my 20 years of experience, you'll ALWAYS have swirls under the light, so don't come in here expecting free service because you're not happy with the detail job" I've been contacted by Subaru of Canada regarding this issue, I like where this is going, I hope that dealership closes down soon. I pretty much just lost my temper right there and then after 3 weeks of bullshit, caps for awesome: "IF I PUT A FUCKING LIGHT UNDERNEATH ONE OF THESE BRAND NEW FUCKING CARS, YOU WON'T SEE AS MANY FUCKING SWIRL MARKS ON THAT ONE AS TO MY FUCKING CAR, DON'T GIVE ME THIS TRANSIT COATING BULLSHIT, IN YOUR 20 YEARS TIME, YOU'RE EXPECTING ME TO BELIEVE MY PAINT WILL ALWAYS BE FADED." NOW, another thing is, their detailer already broke the clearcoat on the corner of my bumper, they are not claiming responsibility. My car is looking worse and worse as days go by. |
If everyone may be so kind as to spread this thread everywhere, I'd appreciate it. Its obvious they still don't care enough to treat me well. |
Time to talk to a lawyer? And what BS from the GM. Ive had my car for 3 years, all washed and clayed by hand by me. Plus i'm a newbie at detailing and my car has yet to have a swirl mark.. |
Yea gotta take this to the next level. I would try to co-operate with them if they were respectful, but at this time now, i would take them to legal action or something. Maybe file complaints with the cbbb or something. |
They polished your bumper too much that the clear is gone? I'd be wary of the condition of the paint on the rest of your car. Still rooting for you to get proper compensation. |
RS Meet to go to Richmond Subaru with belaud to help him out: 1. RCubed 2. Matsuda 3. I mean, if you go on a weekend or something I'd come along with you, even if it was just for moral support. Imagine getting an army of RSers to come along during the next confrontation. Maybe tip off the news before hand too. |

Bigbaddie I mean, if you go on a weekend or something I'd come along with you, even if it was just for moral support. Imagine getting an army of RSers to come along during the next confrontation. Maybe tip off the news before hand too. I personally picked up a car from Richmond Subaru and the experience was decent. Although its mostly my parents bringing the car in, I would like to see how they treat their customers in terms of service. If I see even a slight bit of what OP has experienced, won't be bringing my car back there :fuckthatshit: |
RS Meet to go to Richmond Subaru with belaud to help him out: 1. RCubed 2. Matsuda 3. Bigbaddie 4. Taxmonkey I can't stand their service there. I went into the showroom, the sales person approaches me and I tell him that I wanted to see an Sti, he begins to start talking about pricing and trying to push a sale on me before I said I was looking to buy. Anytime wednesday to sunday, I'll be there. |
I like RCubed's idea, customers can't just be pushed around like this. Let them know, this is being spread around and see if they straighten up. Showing up alone, saying "This is on Revscene/NASIOC etc..." won't have much of an effect IMO. You gotta SHOW them they're fucked. I'll be down to go, but no Subbie to show up in :okay: |
