There better not be any wiseguy thieves trying making clay tablet iPad 3's to rip off stores. It's sick to hear what some people will do when they're greedy. |
simple thing to do is to put a store sticker on the plastic...so theyll know is really unopened |

Mark ups for the new iPad are sooo low right now, even in HK |
mark up? there are still a lot of stores that sells for MSRP have it in stock! |

And if you're talking about NA, theirs still mark up for idiots, learn your shit before you talk. |
I just checked out the new iPad in a store, at least I think I did. I couldn't tell at all, except it heavier*. Though that could have been in my head, I am pretty sure it was the new one. You can't really notice a difference unless you stare at it really close. But as more apps make use of the higher resolution, that has to change. *They had this cheap matte screen protector installed on it, which is certainly why I couldn't tell the difference immediately. I never understood why someone would want to ruin their awesome display with a screen protector, and that is especially the case here. Posted via RS Mobile |
The screen protector always degrade the quality of the screen, especially those $5 for 2 film from china. I also checked out the new iPad at "Ultimate" in HK. The new iPad is slightly heavier, the weight just like an iPad2 with a smart cover, hands get tired easily compared to my TF201. They are showing a demo with some so-call super HD video, it is sick and smooth. I'd buy one if I had a iPad1. |

every shop already stop taking the new ipads, even the so call "mark up" price is already cheaper than Apple's official price for the ipad2 in China |

I could instantly notice the heavier iPad, not so much the thickness. However the big differencne I could notice is the heat, the model was so warm. My iPad 2 never gets that warm. |

^ My kids have been using my iPads and iPhones for the last couple years and they've held up very well. I'm more concerned about them dropping them onto a tile floor than scratching the screen (which is why they have cases). |

Walked into rc apple store and picked one up today at around 2.30pm (still had quite a few at the back according to the guy that served me). After spending 2+ hours with it I got a stinky feeling I might return it. Was expecting to be completely blow away like the transition from ip3->ip4 but was not. To make matters worse its heavier and gets hot a lot quicker. Guess I'll stick with my 1/2 till 4 comes out. |
Why would you expect to be blown away? It's basically the same thing with a higher DPI screen, which at the viewing distance of a tablet, means quite little... |
"blown away" lol. The only way that could happen if it was half as thin as the iPad 2. |

If I had a flight back to China within 24hr of release date, I'd bring back a few iPad 3's with me, why not? I'm 100% sure I'd get more than what I paid for it and I was going back anyways, no extra effort or cost. |

there would be no way you'd get more than what you paid for. it cost at least $4500HKD to buy the cheapest ipad in canada, and the buy back price for a 16GB Wifi is at best at $3900. yea, losing $600 per unit is great profit! :heckno: |
bah..decided to sell the ipad 2.. sold for $340...keeping the ipad 3. love the retina. |

A quick search on TaoBao shows ALL iPad3's are selling above 3520 RMB..I really don't know where you're getting your info buddy... |
