Doesn't matter what it was. A Hummer would have probably disintegrated. RIP to the passengers of that, because there is no way they survived.

A bit difficult to enjoy a video like this, knowing the occupants of the vehicle were undoubtedly killed..

There's not a passenger vehicle on earth where the passengers could survive a side impact by an 80,000 kilogram vehicle at 100km/h...

RIP

Also, Disclaimer: This is what happens when you purchase a used vehicle from Richmond Subaru. The paint gets damaged so much that upon accident or collision, the metals becomes weak and brittle from excessive use of wool buffer pads and lack of clear coat.

I would estimate speed to be closer to 80km/h for each which would bring a closing speed of 160hm/h

I've watched it 10 times and it still feels unbelievable. Feels like it some sort of movie special effects thing. Can anyone verify that this really happened and it's not a fake?

Be interesting to read the "official" report on it...

It's crazy when you think about how long there was NO on coming the other way... Then they just happen to loose control right in front of a Semi...

Talk about bad timing...

I don't see how the car lost control in the first place. Strait road, no need to brake or change direction...

Some driving lessons might have helped, but who knows!

It's called traction. Heavy vehicle traveling uphill. It "may" have geared down to allow the hill climb and in doing so caused a surge of power and the rear wheels may have lost traction at this point. You can see it get swirly and then inexperienced driver likely let off the gas causing the weight to shift and then the rest is what you see. This is the reason your not supposed to use cruise control in slippery conditions. It can change the gearing and also cause sudden throttle increase and this is potentially the exact result.

Berz out.
