^when i was in my teens, every type of weather was slurpee weather.

MG1 09-23-2016 09:59 AM

I just got a Big Gulp (Diet Coke) instead of a Slurpee and donated 5 bucks. They scanned it as a Slurpee. Get this, I got taxed on the five bucks, gulololol.

MG1 09-23-2016 10:42 AM

Damn, Long and McQuade is having a huge sale. Two days only and only at the Terminal Avenue location. Place is jam packed. If you're a DJ or into pro audio, you need to be here.

Never flown with Air China but looks like they're having a Flash Sale ending this weekend.

Vancouver to Manila/Hong Kong $499 round trip
Departure date: Oct. 16, 2016 – Mar. 31, 2017 (maximum duration: 3 months)
(Blackout date: departure: Dec. 10, 2016 – Dec. 24, 2016 / Feb. 1, 2017 – Feb. 11, 2017
return: Jan. 1, 2017 – Jan. 13, 2017 / Jan. 20, 2017 – Jan. 29, 2017)

I double checked kayak and found some dates i'm interested in for $600 taxes and fees in.
I might actually bite on this deal.

How are these guys for long haul flights?

gilly 09-23-2016 03:13 PM

^ almost all dates are booked up already. friends ended up going with eva air for $741

mk1freak 09-23-2016 09:00 PM

Air China inflight service is average. Food is garbage compared to other carriers. If you have to transit at PEK, it's a total fucking dumpster of an airport. I remember having to walk around, not being able to find a decent place to eat, and the only Starbucks doesn't have fucking ice in the middle of summer while everyone sweating like pigs. And the airport wifi service is almost impossible to understand. Couldn't even access my gmail to grab my digital lounge pass so I was loitering around the waiting area sweating like a peasant. Would never connect at PEK ever again.

Yup, started on Friday. Was going to post it in the Mark's thread, but was too tired to look it up.

Might switch over after my free trial of Apple Music expires hmm..

MG1 10-08-2016 12:20 PM

It's a long weekend, which means double 7 Eleven points. Also, if you do the Belly points thing, remember, it's done as of end of November. Cash in your points before then.

MG1 10-08-2016 02:20 PM

I love Home Depot's price beat policy............. just matched a Best Buy price, then got a further 10% off of the lower price. WIN!!

highfive 10-08-2016 04:00 PM

Rona / lowes too. I don't bother buying tools from summit because the sales ppl are too aggressive. I just match at rona instead

its for the user and 5 other users ( total 6) which if 5 other users want to get in on it its basically $30/person per year (calculating that each person pays for 2 months).
Sadly there isn't a pay by the year option as of yet but if it does happen I'm sure it'll be cheaper.

On sale at Walmart. $6 off

Same box is 5.97 for 65 at No Frills

punkwax 10-13-2016 06:22 PM

^then it's not the same box is it? :troll:

Walmart product likely more fresh as the budget stores tend to stock up on expiring products whereas Walmart is constantly turning product like this over.

Just found a better deal on the same box at No Frills.
$5.97 for a box of 65.
Works out to less than $0.10 per piece

Best before date - checked?

Mind you, I have half off stuff from last year that's still as good as new. 'Cause you know........ I had to test before giving out. Can't be giving out stale stuff to neighbours.......... actually, kids from other neighbourhoods, lol.
