i think north face is fine on older folks. people of all ages wear it.
now if you wore something like superdry then it would look a bit odd.

Good news, I think............

PC Mastercard Points is joining with Shoppers Optimum.

Starting February 1, 2018.

Not sure if it's good news 'cause no details yet. Points are 1 to 1. If that's the case, I'm glad I held back and not spend all my Shoppers points. Having said that, Shoppers Optimum points, right now, do not work the same as PC Points. The more Optimum points you have, the more buying power you have. Plus, those 20X points and Spend Your Points events at Shoppers will probably be canceled. Perhaps I should start taking advantage of the 20X points events. There's usually a big Spend Your Points event just before Xmas time. Things I don't need, like X Box, Playstation, Mid size TV's, etc. I need to launder some of my points, gulolol.

Coren 11-08-2017 06:26 PM

The pcoptimum site says the 20x points events will still be around

Mark's is having their spend 100, get 20 promo again.

Purchase a $100.00 gift card that never expires, and get a $20.00 bonus card that works between Dec 5th and Dec 24th. There's at least one more 20% off the entire store event coming up. Probably just before the 5th of December, lol. Anyway, for those who shop at Mark's, it's a decent deal.

Now, where's that McD gift card promo.

Oh........ been waiting a whole year for Lee Valley Tools to have their gift card sale. Last year, I got a $1000.00 gift card for $800.00 and wanted at least one more, but it said limit of one. goddamnit, should have gone full on asian, but didn't. This time, I'm buying some as "gifts" to family members, gulolol.

Nice! Thanks for the heads up.

With how much you spend, you should try to align them up with Credit Card promotional offers.

Such as AMEX Starwood card, a 120 fee, but get something like 20,000 starwood points after spending 1500 within 90 days.

Those 20,000 points could be equivalent to like 600-1500 in value at a hotel, depending on season/country.

Food for thought.

subordinate 11-19-2017 01:23 PM

Marks has 20%, ends tonight.

If you know what size you want, sign up for Ebates, they have 6% cash back today with Marks.

So pretty solid savings. Could be better if I had those gift cards...ha.

MG1 11-19-2017 05:30 PM

That gift card promo ended so quickly. I went into Mark's yesterday to find out it is over. So, I literally did this.........

:inout:

maybe faster..............

Anyone bought the $25 denny's gift card and receive $50 in coupon values? I can't find details anywhere as to what the coupons are.

Looked at the websites both .ca and .com. Seems like it's for the US only anyways unless the cards work for both

MG1 12-01-2017 08:12 AM

It works here, because I was at Denny's a month or two ago for my free birthday meal.

The deal is only good if you like going to Denny's a lot. The coupons are good for a limited time (perhaps a week). After the coupon expires, it's no good. You also have to spend a minimum. Anyway, not as good of a deal for you as it is for them.

Canadian Tire has their spend 100 get 20 promo card event, but for today only.

The promo card is one of those time limited things, but hey, it's Canadian Tire. Get some fishing gear or something or pellets for the smoker.......... something Canadian, gulolol.

BMO World Elite Travel Card is gonna increase their points from 2% on everything to 3% on January (80k personal and 150k household income requirements). 150 a year.

You do know the changes actually benefit BMO instead consumers like us right? read the fine print. I get it free because of my bank account with them(min $6000), no one would want to pay $150 for this card.
I would use capital one travel, 2% everything straight cashback

acrophobia 12-01-2017 08:19 PM

Booster Juice - buy a $25 gift card and receive a free regular size smoothie until Dec 31

subordinate 12-02-2017 12:26 AM

Marks has that buy a 100gc get 20 gc.

That 20 gc is valid from dec. 5-24th

Plus 20% customer appreciation ends tmr I think - compounds the savings.

MG1 12-03-2017 10:33 AM

RS Frugalites, is that even a word?

Anyway, just a reminder that the McDs Monopoly game pieces expire the 5th of this month. What makes it even more challenging, is that you can only redeem one at a time. Young fella at the Willingdon location allowed me to use two. One small drink and a cheeseburger, lol. That’s more than enough for a child or senior, like me, gulolol.

I just wish Mark's would update their online system faster to use the gcs.

Ebates has 6% back.

Avoid every boot Dakota makes. Next to zero longevity, they will breakdown so fast.

Which one is 2% straight cashback? I can't seem to find anything like that on their website.. only found this https://www.capitalone.ca/credit-car...avel-platinum/

The other good one would be MBNA World Elite with $89 fee

If you want to spend a bit more, look into the Terra brand. They're made in Canada if I recall. They might be part of Viberg.

Haven't actually had much in the way of issues with Dakota in the past, tbh. I've recently switched steel toe shoes to H/H and have already had to warranty them after the first month. Not impressed.
