I don't trust these guys no more. Or any big corporations. I have a few big places saying "please buy a pass and use it later" to help pay for rent...

honestly... if 1000 gave you 35 dollars... and then next thing you know, your business shut down.. what would happen.... I would be losing out on money.

highfive 03-19-2020 09:22 PM

Read their fine print. Saw it on redflags. Can use it only one per visit. So they still expect you to pay a little balance after

Yes they are owned by wealthy people but just fyi Cactus is a North Vancouver company and White Spot is a Vancouver company.

Browns North Vancouver

Joey and Browns are from Alberta

Also, some White Spots are franchises, not all corporate owned.

On that note, I have been having a hard time deciding where I should get my GC for with the Molson happy hour promo. Any small/mid sized restaurants you guys would recommend that do gift cards?

Copa Cafe, if you have their VIP card, has BOGO free on weekdays, Mon to Fri from 2:00-4:00 pm only. There are 4 dishes to choose from. Walked out with 4 for like $32 ... that's a pretty good deal!

Yea, giants relative to one-offs.

Not to say they don’t contribute to the local economy nor dismiss the amount of people they employ, but they will be alright.

I called ahead and it was ready by the time I arrived. Only one guy in front of me paying that I had to wait for. But they did have like 15 orders on the tables ready for pick up ... it's popular!

BOGO amazon echo show 5 at bestbuy today only.
Works out to 112.78 after taxes for two of em.

Milk from Shoppers. If you are a senior or know someone who is. 20% off first hour of opening. On top of that if you have the Optimum app, you get 1000 points for buying 4 litres of anything other than whole milk. That's a further one dollar savings, if you collect points.

Fresca, if you buy that stuff, is 400 points back this week. 2 Litre Fresca is $1.00 right now at both No Frills and Superstore. Superstore has a limit of two, but if you show them the No Frills flyer, digital (Flipp app) or paper, you can buy as much as you like. That works out to 60¢ each 2 litre bottle.

At Shoppers, it's a whole week of "spend your points" event. Not the largest one of the year, but up to $100.00 off is pretty darn good.

This is where collecting points from all Loblaws stores pays off. Never redeem at Superstore or No Frills. Wait for redemption events at Shoppers. Nintendo, PlayStations, TV, Media Players, etc. Best deals are at Christmas, Boxing, and Black Friday times. A dollar saved is a dollar earned. For me, it's a challenge and a game. At Xmas time, I give back to charities. All savings go to those in need.

Anyway, keep on keeping on.

Since 1919. Covid was the last straw.

MG1 06-01-2020 01:03 PM

What's even sadder is, this might be the first year since it's inception that McDonald's will not have a dollar drink days promotion.

There's rumours that it may start on June 16th and go till September 7th. https://www.simplyfrugal.ca/mcdonald...ys-are-on-now/ in the comments section posted by Maureen.

Fucking fake news and I'm not Mclyin' https://www.revscene.net/forums/6614...cds-pizza.html <-------remember that?

Oh, BTW, fuck you, Wuhan Wet Snatch. FU, FU, and FU. Let me list the millions of things you destroyed. Even affecting McDonald's ffs /rant

MG1 06-02-2020 04:18 PM

25% off all fishing and camping equipment at Army & Navy.

might go lower, but if you want good selection, it's better to get 25 off or not have anything off when what you want/need is gone.

That location is known as The FX Building, there's commonly sample sales there. Many of the reps also carry brands like Saxx, Alpha Industries, etc
