I picked a box that had an expiry date of July, 2021. Coupon expires October 31st.

They still have boxes but you have to look before you pay b/c some boxes do not have stickers and others have only $1 off sticker

7-11 has daily free large coffee from Nov 2-8 with app. Looks like I’ll have an extra stop every morning on the way to work

Not to be outdone, A&W is offering free coffee every day from now until November 30th. Using their app.........

It doesn't mention what size.

Did not know A&W Food Services of Canada's was in North Vancouver, until now (need to read fine print more often, lol).

I got their regular size which is equivalent to a medium.
So much tastier than the 7-11 coffee.
But who can argue when it is free right?

Reminds me of the MCD free Big Mac cards.

Speaking of free Big Mac, I got an email that if you sign up with door dash and order McDonalds with a minimum $1 purchase you get a free Big Mac. Zero delivery fee also.

I hope Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales are better than last year. Actually, labour Day and Boxing Day sales have been lame for a loooong time. A&B Sound........... why???????? Sign O’ the Times, I guess. Amazon Prime Day was a blip on no one’s radar, too gulolol.

I am guessing that Black Friday / Crber Monday would actually probably be worse than last year. Probably a longer duration to make the sale seem better but savings would probably be mediocre...

Anyone know what happened to the birthday thread. I got this $10 birthday voucher good for anything at MEC. Like a good frugal person, I went and purchased two items that cost, in total, $9.95. I had to pay tax, lol, but free is free......... except the taxes.

Birthdays............ one year closer to your death. At 16, couldn’t wait to get the drivers license. That was one I really looked forward to.

Anyone using the Uber Eats app
Use code SATURDAY50 for 50% off pickup orders for every Saturday of November.

You gotta order early in the day. Only like 20 000 available each saturday

whitev70r 11-07-2020 03:56 PM

Cause it's 50% off?

moody 11-07-2020 04:53 PM

You don't have to pay for the delivery charge. It adds up to quite a bit.

dachinesedude 11-07-2020 05:15 PM

Yes it's 50% off your whole order, pretty awesome

I like to save money too, but when you order through the Uber Eats app, the restaurant has to pay them. In this current environment, restaurants can’t afford any additional expenses, so keep that in mind.

Teriyaki 11-07-2020 11:08 PM

That is a valid point. However with these promos Uber is bearing a majority of the cost.
Another thing is these are places I wouldn't have eaten at otherwise, so while true they only get 70%(?) Of their normal revenue the alternative is they never would have seen a penny from some of these new customers without delivery apps and promos like these. Chalk it up as advertising cost, marketing cost, free sample cost. I believe its a symbiotic relationship and helps both parties ( for the most part, there's always exceptions )

Gumby 11-08-2020 12:18 AM

Agreed, there are pros and cons for a restaurant to use Uber Eats.

dachinesedude 11-08-2020 09:32 AM

It's usually more expensive to order through third party apps than the resturant directly so some of the added cost are passed on to the customer anyways

MG1 11-14-2020 10:55 AM

24 bottles of spring water for $1.00 at No Frills. Holiday Luncheon Meat also $1.00 each. Time to hoard, lol.
