That's gonna be awhile

Yah, I just deposited my $20 CRT cheque like last month. In 2022, I'll be like ...'What is this? Why is there a cheque in the mail? Damn .. let's go out for dinner!'

Free coffee from CircleK...they ask you not to post the link, so if you want it just send me a pm.

TouringTeg 12-16-2020 06:54 PM

I got this too randomly. One for myself and sent one to my wife.
Then same day I won another free coffee from the 31 days of Circle K contest.

I also won a Rockstar and Red Bull and just use them as a pre workout.

Superstore has these daily PC Optimum Holiday Offers and today's offer was 5000 points for each Beef and Cheese Loaded Nacho Bites. Plus, they were on sale. $1.00 off $8.98, making it $7.98 each. With 5000 points, it makes the thing $2.98 each. I have no clue what happened, but 8 of them things ended up costing me $8.00????

On top of that, I got 40000 points. That's $40.00 worth of points! They're paying me to shop there, lol. It's probably a computer glitch. Grandview Hwy this morning. Limit of 10, but 8 is all I got. Watching World Juniors - need snacks, yes?

On top of that, it's supposed to be really good. https://www.presidentschoice.ca/prod...MaApStEALw_wcB

Wow . That's nuts. I guess superstore is telling you "happy hour is on us! Enjoy!." Lol
They never give me 40 000 pts.. and I go there every week!

I haven't nerded out and done straight calculations but to me the PC points is by far the best over say Save On. Yes, each weeks targeted offers may not suit your needs but overall I tend to get a decent amount of points back. I think my craziest was spending $250 and got back like $70 in points. I had a coworker try to argue that Save On's was by far the best but I don't know. I shop there often too and maybe once a month I might get the back like a carton of milk for free.

MG1 01-17-2021 02:19 AM

No, Save-On points are the worst of the worst.

Optimum, hands down, is the best value as far as rewards points go. Very little effort involved. Combine the 20X points events at Shoppers Drug Mart with the "Spend Your Points" events, it's insane how much value you get back per dollar spent.

I used to go nuts over Save-On More Points (decades of collecting), until I did the math. Right now, I have maybe $350.00 worth of travel dollars. Don't ask how many decades that took me. In one year of Optimum points, I average $1000.00. That's straight $1000.00 worth of points. Use that with the spend your points events at Shoppers and it's incroyable.

Now that Shoppers has game consoles, games, electronics, etc. it's really worth it. Example, the 20X points event is like 30% off. Where else can you get a Nintendo Switch game or a Playstation Game for 30% off? It's in points, but when you purchase a game using those same points during the Spend Your Points events, you get even more value. The usual spend your points is, buy $300.00 worth of merchandise for $200.00 worth of points = $100.00 savings. I also earn a lot of points at No Frills and Superstore. Plus, I get points using my PC World Elite Mastercard.

Any of you guys apply for the PC Money card and account? I thought it was a good move, but it's such a freaking cumbersome and awkward system. I went back to using Simplii. I can't pay my AMEX card with the PC Money account. It says it's an American company. FFS, it's an American Express Canada issued card. I have no issues paying with the Simplii account. I can't pdf my transactions. Just some of the weird glitches with the way they do stuff. I call them and they give the excuse of it being a young company. Right. Don't fucking roll out something if you can't get the simplest things worked out. It seems the whole system was designed by high school drop outs /rant.

My GF got me into this and its crazy how much you save. We combined both our accounts so when I buy car parts on the CC, she knows by the points.. LOL

I was looking at the PC Money and said Pass, wasnt worth it. IMO

Anyone else turn the jug of laundry detergent upside down and let it sit for a couple of days to get every last drop? Under normal circumstances, you can never get those last ml out!

McDonald's Coffee going on $1 tomorrow. I did noticed that it is for Med only, it used to be $1 any size. But they are offering iced coffee as well. But who wants that in February especially when it will hit -5C!
