Confessions of a Frugal Shopper Toonie special $2 original price for KFC today only, has to be ordered thru app. Of course app is crashing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
the $2 tonnie tuesday coupon in the app is valid for 30 days so no need to rush to get it. |
Costco has the Ooni Koda Gas Powered Outdoor Pizza Oven with 12” Perforated Pizza Peel for $100 off in store. Came to just under $400 with taxes for me. https://www.costco.ca/ooni-koda-gas-...100720388.html |
My dad has a different British made one of those ovens tried it last summer takes frickin forever to get to the proper heat but when it does holy you better have an assembly line you’re pumping pizzas out every 60 seconds. Things burn so fast if you’re not super quick turning them. My problem with it is that it’s only good for large gatherings you’d never go through the trouble for yourself. |
I have a Ooni Karu and it’s an awesome pizza oven. I got the propane kit for it as well so I can run dual fuel. For $400 that’s a great price since the pizza peel goes for $90 alone. Mine takes about 20mins to get up to 800deg. |
So I set up my ooni. Bought some pre made dough from save on foods to try it out and OMG!!!! Spoiler! |
It's super hard to pull it round and you need to get it thin enough it's not too thick after it cooks https://i.ibb.co/x3Ly9Rb/pizza.jpg" ...order="0"></a> |
Made a lot of cast iron pizzas through Covid, the dough is always the hardest part. I found that if you get a dough recipe that has a longer rise time, ie. 8+ hours or longer, once you are able to get that nice gluten window it’s wayyy easier to stretch and form |
no question making your dough with a longer rise time is a better option, I did the same thing buy pizza dough from the local bakery and knew it would be easier if I made my own like I normally do. |
First time we used the one my dad bought, he let the temperature go way too high like out of control and we didn't know about the fact it will cook in seconds... put a traditional pizza like murd0c's in with the basil leaves on and they just instantly vaporized, I was like "ahhhhh" frantically trying to get it out and laughing at the same time lol... literal depths of hell stuff |
I know there's a McDonalds thread as well but McDonalds coupons are back! |
https://itch.io/b/1316/bundle-for-ukraine Itch.io has a massive game bundle for a minimum of $10. All proceeds go to 2 charities: https://internationalmedicalcorps.org/country/ukraine/ https://voices.org.ua/en/who-we-are/ I recognize a bunch of decent games that easily makes this more than $10. Sure, it'll be games you won't have time to play, but you'll have a lot of them, and you're helping out. |
Starbucks 1/2 price. Anyone else NOT getting this special showing up on their app? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

$2.00 poutine at Burger King via app. Regular price is like 6 bucks or so. Not the greatest poutine, but for $2.00, it's decent. |
haven't had fast food in 2 years. |
It's not Fast Food............... It's Burger King. Slow Food. :troll: I think I watched two complete innings of today's game while waiting for it.............. |
Free coffee this month at Wendy’s. Need a coffee mug for Vancouver locations to avoid cup fee. They now serve breakfast too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I don't see it on my app............... Not many locations near me, but I am off to Princess Auto and Superstore by the theatre. There's that Wendy's there. "Where's the Bacon?" had to say that. Times, they have changed............ Coloured folk in this year's television ad............ where's the token asian? Check out the old ads. They played those ads so many fricken times. Spoiler! |
Shell station at Pitt River & Shaughnessy has 93 octane for regular price right now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Free Mary Brown's chicken burger when you download and sign up on their app. It took about five minutes for the offer to go through. Just order one and upon checkout, it'll show up as free. I think you need to input credit card payment method. I always wanted to try their food. Their ads are always on Blue Jays' games. I went to the one in Port Moody. Apparently, there's a location on Main Street near 49th Avenue. |
I think Mary Brown's is pretty good I really like the chicken strips... but I did go to the Hwy 10 and 152nd location once and it was pretty shit. Been good at other locations though! |
