I got through and spent my miles. I've been collecting miles with Shell for eons and have a pittance of miles. Let's see if my BT headphones actually arrive.

MG1 03-10-2023 12:27 AM

So, the girl lied to me......................

whitev70r 03-10-2023 06:45 AM

Maybe I should have waited? Looks like BMO will buy Air Miles.

Update, was able to cancel my order for the merch. Wonder if there will lots of those ... :lol

Just saw that. I still needed BT buds so I'll keep them. Beats paying for them myself.

TOS'd 03-10-2023 09:02 AM

Now that the website is working and ppl are cancelling their redemptions, I went and looked through all the Dream Rewards and there are very few things of interest haha. Maybe I'll just pick something through Personal Shopper.

MG1 03-10-2023 10:43 AM

Yeah, I might get the weighted blanket. I think they're made in Canada and not in China.

Can anyone confirm if the Hush weighted blankets are made here?

Badhobz 03-10-2023 12:51 PM

I just checked. Only got 475 air miles :alone: not enough for jack shit.

GLOW 03-10-2023 02:54 PM

last time they said all the airmiles were going to disappear i ordered something i didn't need, then they turned around and said nah, just kidding...

not gonna bother this time

I have over 5000. I thought that was a joke, as in it doesn't get you jack shit. My wife collected airmiles and when she passed away, my daughter told me I should look into transferring them over to my account that had like 150, lol. On a side note, I never shopped at Safeway. I do now, because of Scene points.

I'm so used to Optimum points that are in the hundreds of thousands.........

Anyway.

G 03-10-2023 10:03 PM

I ended up just booking a hotel stay for a trip using the points and rage buying random merch with the remainder. Even though BMO is going to buy them out, the points and reward system has been the lowest rated. IMO I would just use the points now and forget about them lol

radeonboy 03-10-2023 11:47 PM

Redeemed a few gift cards with my cash miles - I have some stuff to buy from the Bay anyway.

So what's the difference between that and literally stealing something from a store?

No thanks.

MG1 03-14-2023 01:19 PM

Well, I do have a lot of Fiskars tools that are messed up. Quality of their tools are crap. I've moved on to better quality tools. Felco, ARS (best brand out there, if you can get it), Spear and Jackson, etc. Fiskars used to be a good brand, but since they started making their shit in asia, quality has gone downhill. If it is made in Europe, then it's good quality. Chinesium does not have a place in the garden. I guess I can get the broken stuff replaced, but like mechanics tools, the last thing you need is shit to break while you're counting on the tool to actually work.

Sample Source is live.. got 12

Had a few pairs of fiskars sheers really piss me off

Try to cut any bigger branches and then put a gouge in one side of the blade so now they don’t close.. could grind it out or somthing but dunno how a slightly bigger branch than it’s intended for bends and bites into the metal enough to make them unusable..

whitev70r 03-21-2023 11:01 AM

Anyone try? When it says till March 22nd, do you interpret it as even on Mar 22nd, tomorrow, offer is still good or it ends on Mar 22nd.

Only cash miles and not dream miles.

Anyone know if a reputable place where I can buy a refurbished iPhone?
I dropped mine twice on Monday and pooched it. Thankfully a friend of mine was able to get it running again but he said I should get a replacement phone ASAP
