so the only place i could find a bolt was honda, for $20 for two. =O
I went to bc fastners, lordco, pacific fastners, burnaby auto parts. Found it at honda the correct nut is 19mm outside, and 12mm inside with a fine thread. At honda i found 17mm outside 12mm inside and its fine thread too. Tried to take off the old nut but the macpherson strut just rotates with the nut. I gave up and made an appointment with the shop that installed it to give it another check.

Is the new Honda part a nylock? Also, if you call Pacific back and tell them you are looking for a 12mm fine thread nut, they should have one. The diameter of the outside doesn't matter at all, as long as it threads on properly.

Yeah, must be that guy then since the guy I sold to was from RS.
I had rattling sound coming from the front when I put in new Tokico shocks and Eibach springs.
Turned out it was the nut in the center of the top hat that wasn't all the way screwed down. I had to take the shock and spring out again and compress the spring in order to tighten down the nut all the way. Then the sound went away.
But yours is a coilover set so it shouldn't have that problem. I never had rattling sound coming from the front suspension when I had it on my car.

Hopefully they can fix it on Wednesday, so tired of the rattle.

That rattling sounds similar to what I'm experiencing right now, however I think its because that particular corner is worn prematurely. When I go over bumps slowly I can definitely feel a difference with that strut and the rest

So I took it to the shop today, They put nylock nuts on it, then double nutted it, and I believe some lock tie too. The noise came back 2 minutes after leaving the shop. I am irritated beyond belief, to the point where I do not enjoy driving my baby anymore =(. Debating just buying new coils and tossing these up for sale, or just going back to stock.

Update took it to another shop for a second opinion.
I feel ripped off by the shop because I paid $80 for a 20minute inspection when I was told $80 an hour. They told me either the top bushings need to be replaced or the top assembly.
I messaged buddy club and so did the shop for a quote on replacement parts.

Unfortunately I've found when the car isnt stock, some minor issues happen.
You'll find and fix it soon and not worry about it again.
