I build ponds and waterfalls....drive machines....and use the power of the internets to learn stuff. I've been playing with metal for quite a while, learning as I go. Start off welding unimportant stuff....then when you know your welds don't break.... weld stuff like this:
Because eventually you're going to end up like this:
And that sh!t better not break.

After watching it, I remembered it has no paint on it and I literally thrashed on it every night to try to make that comp and that was first time i'd driven it.

Tested my sound output today with an iphone 4 app that is supposed to be sort of accurate.....102dB at 50'......yikes

Little more detail in the glass fender creation:
Started with styrofoam and spray foam:
Then many many layers of body filler to get the profile perfect.....then many coats of primer which gave me this plug:
Wax it 10 times, add PVA mold release, then gel coat....then start laying glass and resin:
after a few days of pissing around....its time to pop the mold:

Glass fenders are probably 5lbs vs the steel ones that are 10 plus.
