curious, do you guys use dropbox just to back up your files or directly save them on there instead of on your hard drive?
I use Dropbox for centralizing access to files. I have way too much data to use it as a backup. It's just so ridiculously easy to drop files in the folder, and then letting Dropbox do the syncing across all my linked devices.
Box.net gives 50GB free, but it's not as mindless to use, and they limit free accounts to 100MB max per file.
You don't even need to use the IMEI generator. Just use this IMEI as a base: 35600204089503, and change the last few digits. Keep incrementing by 1 until you get one that works.
becareful, i spammed my acct with promotional codes and eventually it said i reached the limit of tries in a day lol

you can create your own 5 GB JPG.
on win 7 under admin mode open a CMD window and type in:
fsutil file createnew Cbigpicture.jpg 5000000000
The C : \ being the USB drive so use whatever letter your usb is. this makes a fake 5 GB file. make sure your flash drive is bigger then 5 GB. the name can be anything, not only "bigpicture" EG: mycock.jpg
you may have to navigate to your USB drive first.
also thats 9 zeros. you can prolly substitute the first digit to make smallersized files EG: 3000000000 for a 3 GB file.
Quote:
If you want to upload pictures but do not have 5GB of pictures to use, follow this:
1) Plug in a USB stick/SD card/other media larger with 5GB
2) Create a folder and rename it "DCIM"
3) Open command prompt with admin privileges (start button, search "CMD," right clink on "Command Prompt" and run as an admin
4) Enter: fsutil file createnew XDCIM\LargePic.JPG 5000000000 where X is the drive from step 1
5) Let Windows create the file, then allow Dropbox to search it for pictures
6) Upload and you're set
BTW the Windows beta version is here: http://dl-web.dropbox.com/u/17/Dropbox%201.3.13.exe
rename a 5GB file's extension to .JPG and drop it on a usb stick.
Make a folder on the usb stick and name it DCIM. Put that renamed file in it. plug into pc
after you get the sync to dropbox click sync. after a few min you get the full 5 GB bonus space and you can cancel the upload.

Cloud storage provider Dropbox has just doubled the referral bonus it gives users for referring friends to the service. Previously Dropbox referrals resulted in a bonus of 250MB for both the referrer and the new sign-up, but from today that's been increased to a more substantial 500MB. Similarly, the maximum amount of storage users can earn through referrals has been upped from 8GB to 16GB. If you're a paying user, that's doubled again to 1GB per referral, up to 32GB total.
There's also good news for anyone who's already referred a bunch of people -- your bonuses from those referrals will also be doubled, so you'll likely see your Dropbox allowance increase a little.
