Westcoast Superbike School

Seeing if this sparks any interest with any members on here, as we already have a riding lessons thread started.
I already consider this early Spring because CharlieH and I have been insured since the end of January

For those of us on two with a few more seasons under their belt interested in the Road Race Training course for 2012 with WestCoast?

They provide a safe learning environment for spirited riding. A lot of stuff we'll never be able to learn without endangering others and ourselves on public roads. The best solution? Take it to the track!

There's 2 sessions, one is in April (4th, 11th, 15th & 19th) and the Second one is in end of May (30th, then June 5th, 9th & 22nd)

So far I left a deposit for the first session in April, and rk604 is most likely joining me.

you learn everything offered in their Advance Rider Training:

Advanced cornering techniques
Advanced braking techniques
Body & peg positioning
Corner acceleration techniques
Bike set up

Plus:
Pit & Track etiquette
Race & Track day procedures
Track learning procedures & race lines
Flags & Safety
Riding & Racing techniques
Bike set up

Course Includes:
Instruction by professional licensed road racers
4 hours of classroom instruction
Optional evening bike preparation session
Full-day of riding instruction at Abbotsford Tradex
Full-day of track instruction at Mission Raceway
Video analysis of your riding, featuring helmet cam
Hands on instruction with small student groups
Lunch & refreshments
T-shirt

Cost: $465.00 plus hst

deposit is $100

You are required: a two piece zip up (textile OK) or one piece suit, gauntlet gloves, and ankle high boots

This should be SUCH a blasty blast and a good way to shake off that winter weight

I think it was Jacky, and it's because I'd frequently turn down Squamish runs with Charlie and him.

In my opinion I can't ride Squamish *as fast as I'd like to* in order to be able to enjoy it.

edit.

I did this a couple yrs ago. Pretty fun! My pucks were slightly scuffed but my brand new Corsa III's were melted and had a blueish hue when I was done.

For people who just wanna do the training without the track day. It's 350+HST. If we have 5 people doing it, Gio will knock off 50bucks for everyone.

I just called and paid deposit or 100. Anyone else down?
