| Reverse Pliers For Springs
Hey guys, I'm looking for some reverse pliers to hold my scooter clutch springs.
Apparently, these are very similar in size/shape to drum brake springs.
Was hoping there might be something out there similar to these pliers, but maybe with a little larger lever arm and the strength to stretch out the springs to get them onto the clutch.
The springs look like these: |

Those are called Snap Ring pliers.. they are under $20 from places like CT and Princess.. I highly recommend you get specific sized ones (bent / unbent etc) vs ones with adaptors.. they are more bulky and things get dangerous when you are working with things that are under tension.

if those springs require any force to put in, you might be better off hooking one side up and grabbing the other end of the loop with a pair of needle nose pliers and stretching the spring over...

and if the needle nose don't work, try wire cutters. they won't cut your spring, but they'll grab better than needle nose.
I use them all the time with drum brake springs with no issues

Just use a multi-purpose drum brake tool or hook one end and use needle-nose vice-grips to pull the other end.
