the lack of LTE is not software and gonna be hardware, the it999 will be getting hspa+ 42mbps where the LTE one will only have regular hspa 21. i think another reason why the it999 will not be quad core have to do with the carriers here. i mean they don't want others to see oh they have quad core while we only have a dual core so we are getting the short end of the stick kind of mentality so they just release the same for both. that's what i think =\

sonick 06-02-2012 09:32 AM

Hmmm, Wind $40 Unlimited Plan + No LTE or Robelus $50+ Plan + Shit Data Plan?

^ Looks like a shadow of the screen protector

Looks like Samsung might scrap the blue altogether due to manufacturing issues? Only time will tell.

I believe so, I'm upgrading/renewing my contract and I worked out my new plan with retentions ahead of time. They told me to reserve the phone and pick it up in-store. The rep at the store won't be able to credit me back for the upgrade fee, but I was told to call back into Customer service after it's done and they'll credit the fees onto my account for me... fingers crossed that it'll happen like they said it would..

The 35$ HUP fee??? Did you reserve online and pay the 40$ reservation fee as well?

I'm hesitant to reserve online since the 40$.. i could just wait a bit and save the money.

!MiKrofT 06-04-2012 05:18 PM

The video was just to show what appears to be a different colour backing.

Cost for me was $12 from ebay.

SE3P-T 06-05-2012 07:41 AM

overall i can said . is a good phone .. worth it for every penny you spend.

but i though Rogers are selling a different version or the S3??

sonick 06-05-2012 07:50 AM

All North American SIII's have with Dual Core Snapdragon processor and 2GB RAM as tested. Only difference is LTE (Robelus) vs Non-LTE between providers (Wind, etc.).

Int'l is a quad-core CPU with less RAM and no LTE.

Yep I reserved online and paid the $40 reservation fee, however if you read the terms&conditions of the fee.. you do get the $40 back once you pick up the phone. If you end up cancelling your reservation, you don't get the $40 back. :)

Here's a good article for those that are disappointed that we aren't getting the quad core...

I'll take the dual core, LTE, 2GB RAM S3 anyday.

terkan 06-06-2012 09:45 AM

so far i have more reservation for bell than rogers lol and nothing for virgin i'm surprised. if anyone wanna get the phone outright, i'll put u on the virgin talk and text supertab and cancel next day. no activation fee, no cancellation fee ;) my way around can't sell the phone outright =\

cctw 06-06-2012 10:18 AM

AT&T across the border is selling no contract for $550...overnight trip to Portland would mean no taxes on the phone and $800 duty free to cover your phone...

terkan 06-06-2012 10:43 AM

where you see this? i might go states to pick one up :D coz i'm sure the retail price here is 649.99 or something close to that + tax

Even though it's no contract chances are they won't sell to you if you're not an existing AT&T customer.

They say the GPU has no difference but the Mali400 should be much faster than the adreno
