Virgin's got it listed for $599 on their website. Up for pre-order right now. I'm somewhat tempted. :p

When was this? Because back in around January they would let you change your data plan to a LTE data plan at no cost. But I just tried mid May and they told me they can't but for me to change my 6GB to LTE they would give me 2GB LTE only at no cost. Best thing to do they said was to wait until Rogers offers the free upgrade sometime in the future again.

3klipze 06-13-2012 09:10 PM

^ my friend probably got LTE back when it was free..

I use over 3GB of data a month.. If they offer me 2GB with LTE I'd RAGE.

Am i able to just keep my regular data plan without switching to LTE when i get the SGS3?

you can keep your existing data plan with your phone you just won't get LTE speed that's all.

Damn you Darthchilli i wanted a blue one now :( i got the white quad core still waiting for them to send me my blue LTE.

just went to the Samsung even for our company, our director basically told me he confirmed with Samsung that it won't launch till 27th 28th.. so we shall see in 1 week time

terkan 06-13-2012 11:00 PM

Played with my friend's international version though. Pretty damn smooth and feels great in your hands. He got it at aberdeen for 750 = =

Tim Budong 06-15-2012 12:58 PM

delayed till 27th is right
I love the phone btw... Its very very nice and LTE speeds are godly

vash13 06-15-2012 02:21 PM

750 international s3 is not a bad price. Prices on cl are higher than that.

DanHibiki 06-15-2012 02:46 PM

Can you buy the international one unlocked and working in Canada without rooting?

Simplex123 06-15-2012 03:39 PM

Yes of course. Rooting has nothing to do with it. It's just like a normal phone bought from Asia.

DanHibiki 06-15-2012 04:22 PM

And if u buy one straight up from Rogers will it be locked?

This was already answered. Any S3 bought in Canada will carrier be locked.

terkan 06-15-2012 10:33 PM

meh the HSPA+ on my international s3 is insane fast too since bell hspa+ is 42mbps.. but now that i played with white for a few days i really like the white, it doesn't look and feel as plastic in person. arghhh i can't decide if i'll give the white or the blue one to my friend =\

!Yaminashi 06-15-2012 10:39 PM

Damn you just give $700 phones to your friends?
Hey man my name's mike. I'm your new best friend. No homo

vash13 06-15-2012 10:42 PM

If you don't use LTE would you guys suggest just buying the international version? It also saves the trouble of unlocking as well right?

!Yaminashi 06-15-2012 11:19 PM

Yeah if you don't use lte why would you buy an lte device?

iEatClams 06-15-2012 11:24 PM

IMO, the only problem with these android superphones is the size, most of these phones are too big for my liking, if only there was a phone that's somewhere between this size and the Iphone 4, that would be ideal.

bobola 06-15-2012 11:30 PM

^^^
Galaxy S2 is between those two...

Maybe HTC one X??

!Yaminashi 06-15-2012 11:33 PM

Galaxy s2 is the perfect size. If the s4 is the s2 size with ICS/the latest android os and an HD screen, I'm all over that

cctw 06-16-2012 02:15 AM

^actually...i think the s3 has become the perfect size for me at least..it fits into my palm quite nicely with a case on...

and yes...the blue is metallic..quite insanely blue when shown in light...and dark grey in dimmer late..
i can see why they have production probs lol

and smoothest android phone to date imo

asian_XL 06-16-2012 05:25 PM

I can't find a single task on an android phone that needs LTE.
unless you need to load a 30 minutes HD porn in seconds. My current plan is said to be up to 21Mbps, never able to use it all.

Samsung Canada✔
@samsungcanada

Due to unprecedented demand, our launch of GALAXY S III will happen June 27th, rather than June 20th. Thanks for your understanding.
