picked up the Olympic version of the white S3 leather cover. looks pretty nice. now i can tell the difference between my 3 s3 as for which is work and which is personal lines lol.

i was eligible for an upgrade to s3 at $159 with $50 credit... so $109 plus $39 hardware admin. they were going to waive the early upgrade fee.

but today i went in, the offer was cancelled. anyone know been in this kind of situation and know when they will offer something like this again?

There's really no MUST HAVE for the S3 but for general apps you should look in the Android Apps thread.

was this rogers? coz it's technically $209 with $50 credit to make it $159 + 35 hardware upgrade. the most they'll ever do is waive early upgrade fee or hardware admin fee. i've never heard of see them give additional discount on the hardware itself EVER. so i think you were just misquoted.

first time restarting phone since I got it.

I got 24+ hours battery with 2 hours screen time

at night it had about 20% with 24 hours total

If at all possible, next time make sure to get the id number or whatever it's called for the call between you and the CSR. I always do that now so that they can't play dumb with me when I say "a previous rep said blah blah blah"

oh i should of mentioned that all of this was at the rogers' store. the girl logged into my account and saw that i was eligible for an s3 for $159 with $50. the next day i went, it was back to normal.

the reason i didn't get it was because they only had 32gb for $209 with $50 credit. either way i was paying $50 less than advertised price. i didn't need 32gb though.

argh now i so regret not getting it.

Just installed Apex Launcher. Takes some time to tweak right, but pretty smooth. Does it use less memory than TouchWiz? Don't notice much difference in terms of usability so far.

Really? I installed both Apex and Nova, and found Nova to be far less laggy if you haven't tried it yet. In terms of memory I didn't check.

Nonetheless, I really wanted to stick with Nova, but no S Planner widget :okay:

Can't find another calendar widget on Play that at least matches S Planner. Even the "top" ones on Play either were ugly and required you to pay for theming, or were not set up for the s3's resolution. So back to TW for me!

Pretty flexible. I actually prefer the scroll down layout of this rather than the "whole calendar" layout of the S Planner widget.

wifi keeps disconnecting and connecting.

While you are in one spot right? I am guessing it keeps connecting and disconnecting while you are sitting at your desk in front of the router???

I have not experienced this at all...my wi-fi connection has been rock solid :fullofwin:

check your router, or reset it...

offtopic: my battery life has been pretty good too, lasts me at least 2 days without charging :)

I think it might be his router since there shouldn't be an issue with the different carriers, or maybe it is some sort of "Battery saving" app he has that is making it go back and forth between data and wi-fi....i have juice-defender running and it hasnt caused me any problems
