the HD feels really good. Obviously not like actual glass but a lot smoother then the original zagg screen protector. I had both and can vouch for the HD to be better. Plus they cost the same price.

That's too bad I already have it set to that- apparently it's a firmware issue as people have had it happen on 2 different handsets, 2 different sims.

As for battery- I guess it depends on your normal usage. Compared to my Captivate, I'm getting about 10 more hours of battery life. I'm a fairly light-moderate user (2.5-4hrs screen on average), mostly reading news, fb, messages (not much video, music, calls, almost no gaming). I was able to max it out to about 38 hours, but that was really pushing it. I'm fairly confident that I can last a whole day even if I doubled my usage.

r the s3 purchased at carrier stores branded with anything? any logos? they're just locked phones which one can get unlocked easily right? and do carrier stores sell out right with out a contract now?

I bought mine at Costco, Rogers-locked, no branding on the outside.

I think in Canada there aren't branding on the outside like there are/were with AT&T (at least for the Samsung phones I've seen). The only "branding" occurs with the shit bloatware that carriers include inside.

^ yep, the ones in canada have no physical branding on them. just software bloatware.

as for being able to buy it outright, you definitely should've been able to since the release date. i did the data reservation with rogers before it was released here. i even confirmed with them that i would be able to buy the phone outright. got it at the end of june (maybe a week after the launch date)

I'm sure this was asked before, but I have the Iphone 4 right now and the screen is cracked to shit. I'm going to make Rogers give me a new phone, but I don't know if I can wait it out for the Iphone 5.

Should I go with the 4S or the G3? People who have moved from the iphone4 to G3, what are your thoughts on the phone? How's the camera and picture quality?

I am haven't noticed anything odd. Are you using Juice Defender?

I was about to ditch my S3 and go back to my 4S. Battery life SUCKED. I downloaded Juice Defender and it worked ok but still not good enough. Before today it would be drained by 4 p.m. I already uninstalled Juice Defender because I didn't like how it was turning off the radios. Mail would not be updated for a few hours. Instead, I disabled LTE. Nothing else and I even have my screen to full brightness. I unplugged it today at 6 a.m. and now at 10:30 at night it is still on 43% battery with no touch ups through the day. HSPA+ is fine for emails and browsing a bit. LTE will be turned on when I need to set up a hotspot for my laptop. I like my S3 now.

New S3 colours coming soon... not confirmed if they will show up on Canadian carriers.

My order of preference for the new colours: Brown, Silver, Black, Red.

the red has been available on the AT&T website for a while, but the grey, black, and brown are new I think.

I agree that the brown looks very nice on this phone.

when I'm on the same wifi, I can see other ppls shared pictures or media on their computer in my gallery, and can they see stuff on my phone? I if this was a private wifi I'm fine with, and but I discovered this when I was logged onto a public wifi

Did you update to latest version? The previous one gave me issues adding letters in a loop like "todaydayddayyddayyyaddayyyy"

That's the point! It adds words that it "learns" from other sources like FB or Twitter.

I love the brown, looks so elegant.

So I've had my S3 for a few weeks now, came from using the iPhone since the first iPhone came out and I've completely fallen in love with the S3 because I use my phone for business and the amount of apps I can use for my business amazes me. I don't even use my laptop most days because I can do so much on my s3.

You had 4 posts in this whole thread at this point and you did not say what kind of words it was adding in incorrectly and from where.

this post here, i bolded the words it added, i originally did not type those in

i guess im used to txting on phone where i have to hit space after a period or comma, where as on the s3, after i hit the period or comma, itll automatically add the space, so that extra space i pushed added those words in which swift key is guessing i will type those next

but my original question still hasnt been answered yet, can other people see whats in my phone on their own computer if im connected to the same wifi? because im seeing other people's photos and stuff inside the gallery of my s3 when im connected to the same wifi
