Tried apex but love the Samsung weather and s planner too much to give it up.

Jellybean removes all the motion features on the s3.

Or is that cynanogenmod only?

Probably CM only, since CM is barebones Android and motion features are a Samsung software thing.

So I tried this yesterday and it didn't work.

Whatsapp and my email notifications were still going off. Had to turn my phone on mute to sleep.

Using phoneweaver now, should be better.

I believe that only turns off the notifications in the status bar only.

yup, found out today nothing goes into the status bar, but the sound still plays.

3klipze 09-14-2012 09:19 PM

Oh. I also do the following

press down volume button (so ringer volume goes down ) -> press the setting button -> and turn down the notification sound(very bottom one).

This will silence the notification sound. And you can turn off notification so that the LCD will not light up at night (the notification tab on pull down)

^ battery info could be wrong.

790 hours of standby time is a lot.

My phone goes down 1% almost every 15 - 20 minute just letting it sit there with screen off.

Gh0stRider 09-16-2012 06:00 PM

would a unlocked rogers version work on bell's LTE network?

zonda_s 09-16-2012 07:04 PM

^ i don't see why not.

rogers/bell/telus have the same i-747 model designation.

you may just need to input the LTE apn settings, but i don't think that's even necessary.

a friend of mine bought an unlocked rogers s3, popped in a telus micro sim and he had an LTE connection without doing a single thing.

Yes. You just need to double check the apn settings as already suggested.

I really wish the s3 would come out in black, I'm tempted to switch to the iphone 5 just for the colour.

Araaadi 09-17-2012 09:23 AM
