Yes. Sadly, my SGS3 handles multiple tabs open in Chrome better than my Nexus 7 tablet (which has 1GB of RAM and the quad-core Tegra 3 [Snapdragon ftw, I wish I had Snapdragon Pro]). :badpokerface:

I just check the CM10 Change Log every so often for any big updates

When you update you just need to wipe cache and dalvik. You don't need to wipe your data every time.
