I don't know if I have a defective dock but it's really slow at charging my phone

hard to find the dock and case in stock... anyone else picked up the offer in richmond?

I picked up my dock in port moody. I do remember seeing docks at best buy mobile @ lougheed mall.

mines slow as well. It was faster having it straight through the outlet, but hey, it's a dock. I use it to charge over night only on my stand. Kinda nice that samsung has accessory options where the phone changes to a "dock" mode and everything is very nicely accessible from your bed side

Nova Launcher Prime is on sale!

Downloaded nova launcher prime last night and smart tools, doubt it's related but now I'm not receiving any text messages. I can send, but won't receive any... WTF. I'm with Rogers btw, tried rebooting, tried powering off and removing the sim andm then powering back on, still nothing

Try going to setting, more settings, mobile networks, access point names, then hit the menu key, and "restore defaults".

If this still doesnt work, then call Rogers and talk to the tech support department, ask them to "reset" your services.

thanks lol. I called Roger's earlier and the CSR reset the appropriate "services" I guess and then sent me a test message. I got it, and figured all was good. After that I am still not getting texts from my gf who has an iphone. I have however been able to get texts from a bb and galaxy s2.

Not necessarily a bad thing to not receive texts from the gf but I'm afraid it could be an iphone/imessage thing maybe..

hey guys, quick question: if i buy a bnib s3 from rogers, will i need to get it unlocked for use with fido? i ask because with the iP4s i sold, the phone only locked once a sim card was put in. IE, it was a bnib fido phone and i sold it to a rogers customer. I'm just curious if this is also the case with this phone.

just change the apn

you don't even need to change the apn. Fido uses the same apns.

In case anyone cares I was right, I had accidentally left my old iphone's wifi on (that is now my ipod in my car) and it was connected while my car was parked at home, receiving any texts from my iphone friends as imessages. Weird

^^ yeah you have to disassociate your number from your iCloud account to stop that. it's so stupid but I guess Apple assumes you'll be using their phones forever lawl

downloaded nova launcher. Customized it and blah blah. Android system is using 64% of battery , while screen is only at 7% .....

I've been running Nova for a few days and not seeing that sort of battery usage. Perhaps Better Battery Stats can provide more insight?

I got the nova too, it made my phone seem a lot like a nexus so I deleted it but didn't refund it. Maybe will play with it on the weekend see how much I like it

If you don't like the look and feel of AOSP then it's probably not for you.

I've never used AOSP, but coming from TW, it's night and day what you can do with Nova. Even resizing widgets alone is worth the trouble of reorganizing your launcher (though Nova made that a ton easier by importing my TW settings).

If I could incorporate S-Planner and Weather widget over to Nova would be awesome.

are there any extended s3 batteries? do they require a different battery cover?
