Do you have to pay extra to get LTE from fido? Any idea how much extra it costs? Is there a way to get it for free?

I just got a new lte s3 not sure what I should start downloading or installng if anyone can give me some tips :) don't feel like going through all 54 pages.

Yes you can just pop a regular (micro sim) and I didn't get charged to switch to an LTE sim.

I'm running stock rom but I've heard AOKP and CM10 is pretty good. Go to XDA for guides and shit.

Thought fido doesn't carry LTE microsims.

you have to cut up a regular sized sim to microsim size to get lte ... no extra charge

you will end up using a lot more data. i used to use about 150mb on my berry and I'm at 2gb on my s3 this month lol

I just got an LTE Fido sim myself....They did not have any micro in stock so i got regular and cut it down. You do have to get the LTE sim

you can order online and they will ship to you....I instead just picked mine up as I could not wait

I also had to change the APN....as it was only giving me 3g before.... so make sure you add the LTE apn which is LTEMOBILE.APN

I free hand cut it....I used a telus micro sim as reference (the one that came with the phone)....I cut with scissors and then used sand paper to smooth it to better shape it.....The LTE sim was $10 ($11.20 after tax)

Only Apple uses a nano sim so you wouldn't wanna get that.

You can use an LTE sim on a non LTE device without issues. You won't be magically getting LTE though :ilied:

- Mint.com personal finance tracker
- Nova Launcher
- Optik TV Remote Record (if you have Telus Optik TV)
- Songza
- Swiftey - Highly recommended best keyboard out there
- Zedge for wallpapers and ringtones.

If you want to try other keyboards the new Swype is my go-to. I have swiftkey But I'm too lazy to type everything out with two hands lol.

The catch is you need to sign up for a beta account on their website. Then you have to navigate to the Swype website on your phone to download the apk (i.e. the program). Once you get the installer, everything else is self explanatory.
