I finally switched over to the S3 from the iOS. Need some getting used to. One complaint I have is that there are no badge notifications on the android. Love the notification centre but I would like to have the blip on the icons for new messages from Whatsapp/Facebook. Is there something I can download for it??

Also, any notable apps?

My earphones won't work D':
I've tried different earphones too but my phone keeps playing speaker mode
Anyone having similar problems D':?

You have widgets that can tell you and even show you a new message in its entirety. You can also download apps that give you badge notifications. goSMS does it for it's sms app.

Apps...are in the history of this thread...just go through it, you'll find some.

Hmm, you'll probably have to send your phone into Samsung. Hopefully they have an exchange program in Canada where they just send you a new phone while you ship them the old one.

This could either be a car-mode setting or a defect in the finicky little headphone sensor slot.

PS are you using headphones that have a volume control on it? Try using a non-volume controlled headphone and see if that works.

Hey quick question for you guys.

I've set up push email service with the stock email app for Hotmail, but when I read the emails it doesn't show any images or anything, just a bunch of html text.

Is there a fix for that?

I'm not sure if there is a fix for it but I know Android's official Hotmail app works great. Might want to give it a try.

Ultimatum S3 or FrostyJB....Serenity is a Note 2 port which might be fun to try.

Definitely give MIUI a try if you haven't before. It's a lot of fun to play with and a very CLEAN interface!

Is there a ROM out there that keeps it as stock JB as possible with only code optimizations?

I'm on Paranoid right now, and I like it.. but I don't like how the system menu is divided in half. I also don't seem to get constant LTE connection like I did with the stock Rogers ROM.

Actually I solved the issue, there's a small tab that appears in the bottom left hand corner that says "load more"

I've been getting an issue with my phone saying

Sim Card Removed
The mobile network will be unavailable until you restart with a valid SIM card inserted.

Has anyone else gotten this issue before? I read a few posts online that people said to get a new SIM, but I just want to check this before I head to the store. (Bell)

Dude i was just about to post this. keep getting this issue and its pissing me off. im on custom rom maybe thats why? are you running stock?

I see the same thing... but is there a way to do it so I dont have to press it every time i open an email?

There must be an option to "ALWAYS show images from this sender." Or go into settings and look for always download images. GMAIL operates the same way...

how come i keep getting daily notifications saying, "Service outage, try again later." And " You have not subscribed to the visual voicemail plus"?

Everything works fine. But its annoying how these 2 messages kept coming up from day one of owning the phone.

Anyones does the same? Or what can i do?
