Actually was able to connect to ltedata.apn as long as I don't fill in the APN type with dun. Still can't tether over LTE. So either it's the custom rom I'm using, data plan needs to have LTE tether provisioned or cuz I'm using an Iphone nano sim card.

So when you tether, you choose the ltedata.apn or you are able to tether over ltemobile.apn?
Also are you using stock or custom rom?

I'm running AOKP and can tether over LTE no problems

Apparently international S3s are dying for an unknown reason. Most likely cause is a bad motherboard.

Still no word on whether this affects the NA variants. Going through the thread though, Samsung is replacing phones no questions asked (even if you had a custom rom installed for some).

Some problems I'm noticing:

Is there a way to get the stock sms app to jump directly to new messages?
It keeps opening to the previous message screen used instead which causes me to send texts to the wrong people sometimes

Also discovered that if auto brightness is set, the screen will not dim a few secs before turning off to warn you it is going to do so... sucks

Widgetlocker - when using something like the stock jellybean lockscreen, it's sometimes buggy and will not unlock when u press the lock. The lock just disappears and the screen stays locked.

umm i just backed up my phone with kies and just flashed it to aokp and now i am having trouble connecting to kies through my macbook....anyone know what's going on? does aokp not work with kies??
i would like to have my messages back!

no Kies with aokp. Gotta have a Samsung rom.

SGP stuff or the Colorant screen protectors. I use Colorant myself - very good optical quality.

What's the point? Its got gorilla glass... Not going to scratch easily.

For anyone on AOKP what kernel are you guys using ?

Newb question here, if I currently have Touchwiz, and I love the setting and where my icons/widgets/etc are on it right now.

Question is, if I switch to another launcher, is there a way to switch back to Touchwiz with the icon/screen/widget setup that was there before the switch?

^ yes, installing another launcher doesnt mean u will uninstall touchwiz, i tried other launchers, but went back to touchwiz. (just home button brings touchwiz back). i dont remember exactly but it asks u somewhere which launcher u would like to default too..

you can always go to application manager and look for touchwiz and set it back to default if you're not prompt when pressing the home key.

Some dude posted awhile back it scratched just sitting in his pocket.

Okay, wtf... I must be doing something wrong here. I can't connect my 3 to either of my computers. It doesn't matter if it's through Kies or just by going through My Computer. It simply fails to connect. I never had this issue with my Captivate, so what might I be doing wrong now?

hey guys im having a problem with my s3.
when i play games like temple run, the character stays on the right side.
kinda hard to explain, but tilting the phone doesn't do anything..

My s3 after JB update has had super crappy battery life. Barely lasts a day with low-mod usage. No gaming.

For whatever reason my "android system" is using 43% even after ending all aps and clearing ram memory.

From a full charge, it went down to 12% after a little over 8hours. On STANDBY!

I don't have an sd card in. It's not rooted/ hacked or anything like that. Phone is from Rogers.
Screen is left at basically the lowest setting.

Read a few or so pages back, it's a media bug. I fixed it by formatting internal sd card but I'm on a custom rom now

Not sure but I had no troubles as well until after I got my SD Card. I would have to unmount then mount the SD card again then it worked.

Just got the S3 for a sweet price (inb4s4comingout), and I've been reading things on the Jelly Bean update. How do I go on doing so? I have absolutely no background with Androids; still trying to figure out how to use the phone lol
