dont need to be rooted to get free apps.
but i buy a majority of my apps that are under 4.99 haha

I have no idea what rooting is. I assumed it was the jailbreak for an Android. I was planning to buy my apps, but didn't know if it was worth it if I had the possibility of getting them free even if they are only a couple dollars.

Edit: What apps would you guys recommend for aesthetic purposes (eg. widgetlocker, etc)? I want to make my phone unique, although I don't know where to start. And what launcher would be best to run most widgets (did I word that correctly)?

First problem with my s3, LTE wont turn on, also I cant change contact pictures, hinge to contacts app, into edit and click the little and nothing happened, so I go straight to the picture and click adobe tip contact and only email contacts done up then. ..not phone contacts

for aesthetic purposes, i use nova launcher, zooper widget, and minimal miui theme. you can see my home screen in the post your homescreen thread

Just bought the Minimal Miui theme and Widgetlocker. Androids have so much more potential in customizing than iPhones.

still no LTE on my phone, im on rogers, travel between surrey, langley, was even dt van yesterday and couldnt get it to turn on,

has anyone else noticed how slow it charges? is it just me or is my s3 messed, i plugged it in at 5% 3 hours later it was at like 40%... even now im charging it at work cuz i was transfering some pictures, was at 95% been plugged in to the face of the computer for at least 20 minutes and still says 95%..

You need an LTE-specific SIM card.

Charging via computer will usually be slower than a wall or car charger as the amperage output is lower (500mA vs 1000/1500mA)

Definitely don't bother charging via USB, super slow. Wall charge will probably take me 2 hours to get a full charge.

Is anyone else having the process "Android System" eating up a lot of battery life? Mine is second to my screen in terms of battery usage.

Charging through a computer or car stereo USB is almost useless. I've been using it while plugged in and the % will actually drop lol. Plugged into the wall charges wayyy faster

How about usb 3.0? I heard that the phone charges faster than usb 2.0

Doubtful. The phone has to have USB3.0 protocols to be able to draw more than the USB2.0 rated power.

After JB 4.1.1 update, stock ROM, not rooted. Rogers 16GB blue.

so ive hunted around for a while and google only makes it more difficult, im not a fan of how long notifications vibrate for, anyone know an app that can make it customization, or so have notifications on apps like iphone kinda, been noticing i miss alot of messages from people the few i have found havnt been very good

my sg3 decided to stop syncing with my Hotmail. Anybody have any clues?

I'm not on stock ROM anymore so not sure if you can change the duration but you can change the vibration intensity under Sound I think
