Make sure you have really gone through and played around with the settings though. With Juice Defender Ultimate I can get 2 days of battery on light use and 1 day or 3/4 of a day on heavy use.

One needs to understand what Juice Defender actually does before using it or making a decision to use it or not. It's not a magical app that makes your battery better. The point of Juice Defender is that you can tweak what your phone does with things such as data to help limit the usage of it.

I have mine tweaked for example that certain apps will only run if my screen is on and totally deactivated while my screen is off. Also tweak the frequency to how often my phone will use data to check things like whatsapp, email etc. So you need to sacrifice and accept the fact that you will not get whatsapp messages instantly because it isn't checking for data every single second. If you can't accept this then Juice Defender isn't going to work for you.

no wonder :lol

not sure if this has been addressed yet, but anyone have problems with the stock alarm? mine would go on at the scheduled time, but automatically turns off after a minute or so. I have it on snooze 3times/3minutes, and it turns off after every minute, snoozes for 3, and repeats until 3 snoozes have gone by.

any recommendations for an alarm app/widget?

Just picked up an S3, is it possible to get autocorrect like the iphone has? Not a big fan of the predictive text feature.

SwiftKey 3! Worth EVERY penny

invader 01-14-2013 07:28 PM

Ok what about this.
I synched my contacts via Google. I just wanted my phone contacts but every single person I ever emailed is in my contacts. How do I get rid of that?

This one is tricky for me since I'm on a custom rom :lol

Gonna go off my memory here but go to contacts > settings and something about view contacts and you can choose what it will and won't view

OriginalJC 01-15-2013 11:07 AM

I think the option is to only show contacts with a phone number or something.

or if you are a cheap bastard. give "swiftkey flow" a try. It works just like swiftkey 3 but its free because its not officially released yet (still in beta test). you can download the apk from their website. I used it and fell in love with it. i will probably purchase the app when its released in the play store.

jeedee 01-17-2013 01:51 PM

is it possible to individually set the sound settings?

Like vibration with the vibrate sound

And no vibration with sound notifications

Without having to reset it every time....

Former blackberry ppl will get what I'm talking about lol
