Anyone using an oem sized higher capacity battery? If so which one?

3klipze 02-20-2013 10:17 AM

Lol don't assume. They were all sent back under warranty for manufacturing defect. I use my electronics as they were meant to be used, I don't baby it(buying case is not babying it).

If that's the case, I don't think it's bad luck as much as poor ownership.

Whats the point of NFC tags?

NFC Tags as in the Samsung branded NFC stickers? If that's what you're referring to, they allow you to pre-program certain actions and sequences based on proximity.

For example, I could put one in my car and when I got to my car and the phone goes near the NFC tag, I could program it to automatically got into car mode, or turn on GPS, or turn on bluetooth etc...

They don't have to be branded, generic NFC tags work fine. I got 10 for $10 with free shipping from DIYGadget.com.

According to my NFC app, my tags have performed 1102 actions and saved me 1h 31m in the 2-3 weeks or so I've had it.

Here's a trick for anyone who wants to "speed up the S3" I put quotations because it really is more like illusion speeding up the animation windows.

Settings
Developer options
turn it on
than scroll down to the animation scales, there should be 3, stock is 1x change it to .5 or even off.

try it out for a day you should def see a "speed" increase.

Currently I carry around a Momax oem sized battery around, since my phone only lasts about 8 hours :okay:

What ROM is everyone using? Just installed PacMan ROM earlier, kinda annoyed how 4.2 won't let you save pics on your SD card lol

Vansterdam 02-21-2013 09:36 AM

hey guys what is the newest most stable ROM that will let me use the PS3 controller with my phone?

i heard you have to root your phone and then somehow get the app "SIXAXIS CONTROLLER" to work.

apparently it dosen't work on the newest jellybean 4.1.1 firmware?

im trying to use my ps3 remote for emulators such as SNES/GBA/NES/PS and for the gta3+vice city games on android

any idea?

another method i found was to buy the "MOGA CONTROLLER"

http://www.powera.com/moga

theres only about 40 games right now (batman/vice city/dead trigger/nova/asphalt7 FTW) that work with the controller but apparently more are on the way.

I also read that if you root your phone you can use this controller on emulators like the supergnes app. :fullofwin:

Also, the newer Moga Pro Controller should be coming out within the next few months (Spring 2013)

this also looks promising. icontrolpad 2 http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...rce-controller

I already have a PS3 controller so would perfer to use that instead if i could ;)

person a: sadfsaf

and so forth

winson604 02-28-2013 04:59 PM

Anyone know how to save pictures you find through surfing for example google images. I was pretty sure when I first got my phone you can just hold down on an image and it will give options, now I can't do shit. Any ideas?

jeedee 02-28-2013 05:09 PM

Only way is to hold down the image and you get the options. You might be holding it down to hard? Try lightly :lol

Or you could just screenshot it lol

Are there any bugs worth mentioning? This rom is available on the note 2 as well and seems pretty appealing.

I don't want a picture of the screen, just the image. :okay:

Lomac 03-02-2013 11:45 AM

So... I've noticed I'm unable to create folders now. Anyone come across this issue? I'm running the stock rom and only have Nova Launcher going, yet when I get into that options screen, the new folder link is now gone.

Thoughts?

mb_ 03-02-2013 11:57 AM

Drag two apps together and it'll automatically create a new folder for you

Lomac 03-02-2013 12:48 PM

Oh wtf... how did I not notice that before?

:lol

Thanks :)

Edit: Shut it, Al. :p

bakasam 03-03-2013 01:08 PM

Anyone on an AOSP rom or using the AOSP Calender app have this issue where the colors of your calendars look different on your computer and phone?

E.g.

Calender that is RED on the web version of Google calenders is Maroon on my phone
Calender that is BLUE on the web version of Google calenders is Navy on my phone
Calender that is ORANGE on the web version of Google calenders is Bronze on my phone
