i would like to make it clear that i AM NOT looking to use any other keyboard rather than the nexus 4 one.

i use the default samsung swype but ive read somewhere that you can use the nexus 4 keyboard on the s3.
the nexus 4 keyboard is like swiftkey fused with swype.

Dunno if this should be in the Wind thread or here...

I'm only occasionally getting MMS messages on my S3 with Wind. Several times I see friends a few days later and they are like "I sent you photos, you didn't get back to me?" And I never got them in the first place.

Other times I get them, I have to go into the stock app (I use Chomp SMS) but I have to hit a download button, but it never downloads.

And other times, I can download it, but only through the stock app.

I went into a Wind store and they said they "reset" the mms feature or something. Any ideas?

Wind sucks period.
Picture messaging takes a day or two to go through.
I go "roaming" around my neighborhood all the time.

Question:

Is there any way to switch keyboards while using an app without having to go back out into settings?
I want to switch between the stock keyboards and my chinese keyboard without having to go out to settings.

Thanks in advance

GO keyboard have english input and you can switch to the draw pad to write your chinese character.

Otherwise, you'll see a input icon at the notification bar when you have your keyboard up, that's the fastest way to change input without pressing menu, settings, input, etc.

Not everyone I know has WhatsApp. And I don't like the "seen message" feature, makes texting even more awkward.

For Samsungs, they receive the MMS as a bubble with a download button when your 3G is not turned on. If it is, then it should auto-download the picture as a god damn 6-second low res video. The way Samsung handles MMS pisses the hell out of me.

I hate this as well.

I switched to GO SMS just to avoid that

Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Whatsapp doesn't tell you if the message has been read. The check marks mean that your message has been sent and received on the other end.

Just as I thought. Not a "read" notification.

SpartanAir 03-20-2013 11:09 PM

I was using exDialer for a couple months as I wasn't happy with the stock dialer. Now I'm having an issue, that I think was happening before I installed it but can't quite remember;

When I dial a number with the stock dialer, the phone switches to 'vibrate' mode. This is REALLY annoying as obviously it shouldn't do this, but I'll forget to change it back to sound mode, then I'll be away from my phone and miss notifications.

Any clue with what's happening? Googled for answers but this hasn't come up.

Thanks

Hmm, good to know. Never knew that, thanks.
