my S3 gets really hot when the screen is on for a long time or also playing...it never shuts off but it does heat up...

Does anyone know how to take freaking screen shots on 4.2.2? I cant find the motion section like in 4.1.2

anybody noticed.. When writing emails.. Cursor is jumping a lot I can even reply to emails properly. This is after the new software update. 4.1.2

same. tried to look online but no fix yet. It's very annoying and very disappointing.

I thought that was just me. I had updated to 4.1.2 - then had to downgrade back to 4.1.1 so I could flash the newest 4.2.2 with CyanogenMod - maybe they updated the firmware on the touchscreen?

I find it near the letter "a" - it would cut out when I''m trying to swype words that have an "a" in it.

this happeend to me on friday randomly. ive been rooted and flashed for last 6-7 months no problem. didnt do any upgrades or anything, it just decided to do this. turned off randomly at 9am. wouldnt turn on, battery pull turns on only to the samsung screen. if the phone is held at an odd angle itll turn on fully. but then after minutes of use itll repeat the process. at times itll randomly turn on as well. my friend told me it may be corrosion due to hummidity. i havent droped my phone in water or anything either. i brought it into telus because its under warranty. but my phone is rooted so that probably voids it anyways but no harm in trying. so i bought a HTC One while i wait for the results.

Hi guys i dropped my galaxy S3, the screen still works but the glass is cracked. Can anyone recommend shops that do this repair?

My cousin took his to a place at 49th and Knight (i think), called YoloRepair (yes that's the name lol). It was cheaper than other places he researched ($150 regularly but had a groupon for $75).

My phone keeps turning off randomly itself the moment i touch it.

If i turn on the phone and leave it sitting on a desk for hours it would be fine, but the moment i start picking it up it would crash and I would have to restart it.

I tried different batteries and cleaned out all the contacts. My phone is still stock and never has been modified other than having the cracked screen replaced at a samsung repair center.

Last but not least, my warranty expired 9 days ago and this started happening this weekend.

anyone notice their phones battery being bad or apps being laggy after the update??

Mine's felt snappier and quicker since the 4.1.2 update. Battery life about the same.

I've noticed it charges slower after the update :suspicious:

is this their attempt to get us onto S4?

Haha, my phone has large spiderweb cracks on the screen. It still works fine. I'm looking to repair it as well. I may go to YoloRepair if I can't find any other place :\

AFter the update, I have been getting emails notifications on my gmail and the default mail app on the S3. Anyone experiencing this? Anyone know how I can disabled the default mail app? I never had this problem before the update

Settings > Application manager > find default email app > click disable

Had this issue on a custom ROM (Slimbean). A clean flash cleared the issue. If you're on stock, I suggest doing a factory reset (don't forget to back your stuff up!)

anyone been having problems with the recommended apps toolbar on the bottom when you plug in your headphones? the recommended apps shortcuts change randomly and you can't edit them manually

I did a factory reset and it still turns itself off randomly. One time it took 30 min to turn back on after pressing the power button for like 50 times. (I'll see the Samsung logo, then it just shuts off) I tried Googling the problem and everyone just says to do a factory reset but I am still having the same problem. Do you think it's hardware related?
