Importing US Vehicle as parts - No title?

Hey

Someone might already know the answer. I checked and couldn't find it on the Customs site.

Trying to import a Vehicle as parts, it's already parted out. Vehicle has no title, will get a bill of sale from WA seller.

Will that work or will I need to bend over at the border.

thanks

IIRC, on the import form you can choose "race/parts vehicle." Why not call the border?

bill of sale must include VIN's and must match those on the vehicle. if possible also bring proof of payment (photocopy of cheque), print out of the ad. if the vehicle has no vin's anywhere then it will be rejected.

the last two aren't always necessary but if you paid an amount they won't believe, it is good to have them already on hand rather than have them find it.

Yeah, they made me show them the ad on the miata forums when I brought my car across the border. Even asked me to log into my PM's. I didn't *have* to, but I had nothing to hide and it made the process a lot faster once they saw I wasn't trying to underclaim the car.
