Go to Mission if you want to race, no one will laugh at your cars, not that it would matter if they did.
Do it in an acceptable way or pay the consequences.
Thinking you are in control of a car at 180kms.....until you hit a person who was not supposed be there. Then what? Idiots.
They sent out a mass e-mail to all there users 2 days ago:
Well,
This past week I was in Calgary at a conference, meeting with the Canadian reps for Alpine, Pioneer, JVC, Beltronics, Kicker, JL Audio, and the list can go on. To get us all better pricing on ANY In Car Electronics we want. And this is what I get to come home to.
I do want to thank the few RevSceners who actually had some intelligent things to post, and our community is, and will continue to take, the respectful criticism to help improve our site. Any intelligent feedback will be left on our forums, but hate on other peoples cars will be deleted.
This is how we differ from RS, as we do not have a "Hall of Shame" as we will respect any persons car as much as they do. Even if it's a Bone Stock cavalier. Hence the need for an alternate solution to the Car Scene.
I personally LOVE to race, AutoCross in Pitt Meadows, The Mission Strip, Ashcroft Strip, and I admittedly do go fast off the track as well.
With no intention do I promote street racing, as I have lost several friends too early due to stupid mistakes made in a split second. However I have posted my intereactions on the road, for someone who may feel rejected by other clubs for being a street racer, so that if/when they join they can feel a bit of acceptance.
With that said, we DO NOT plan or organise Street Races.
At our planned meets, we do the same as at your Planned meets. Have a cup of coffee, and talk. And usually they will be at a place where there are other activities, Go Karts, Pool Halls, ect. Or have our races at Mission Raceway or Pitt Meadows Autocross.
I hope a few of you do stay, and continue to be an active part of our community, as well as the RS community. But if you are only here to flame the fire, either you can delete your account, or I will. Please try to be mature about it.
As I'm sure a copy of this will be posted on your forums, so feel free to beak it there.

So...... here he admits he drives fast.
And then basically says "It's okay to race and drive fast, because I want other potential new members to feel accepted. If you're an idiot, we'll welcome you with open arms into our club, because we are too!!"
I see Freddy Forza's car. Not surprised he'd be a part of that forum.

From what I know of RS members, most if not all have at some time made a poor decision while on the road (speeding/racing/drifting/ect) but it is not something that the majority of members on here go out to do.
It seems like RS is more a comunity that shares 1 same intreste (cars) and uses that to bring all kinds of people together. That is why I enjoy going to the meets.
For me the car aspect has gotten smaller but I have made some great friends and connections through RS and the meets that they hold.
A community like VU is small but the kind of damage they can do for the local car scene is great.
I remember years back the big bust at Delta Port for street racing. I knew many of those members personally and it really put a target on modified cars around the lower mainland.
On the other hand I understood why the club choose there and wanted to race. They were not taking it to the streets or racing through traffic, they choose a place with controlled environment (as best as that could be) and raced. The local scene for drag racing is pretty lame here, it costs to much for what you get IMO but I still attend because I dont want to do that kind of thing on the street.
The only solution to this problem of people wanting to race is more track time being made available to young men and women who enjoy pushing there cars otherwise you will always end up with these groups of people who do it on there own terms and ruin it for everyone else.
I hear what you are saying. I have recently dropped out of vu believe it or not most members do not race on the streets there is no organized street racing. We usually just meet up and do the typical car talk. I am looking for some places to go out and practice drifting for the this season I was wondering if you guys knew of a few members I could meet up with?

I just.. I dont even... For one, that was VTS. For two Freddy doesn't have that car anymore. Thing with VTS is that there were actually some fast cars that would come out, it wasn't also all about the street race as in doing it in broad daylight with traffic around you (not that it didn't happen) but going to the middle of butt fuck nowhere and running the cars.

lemme guess?? skyrine??
I saw you left the forum. Although bennji said it was only temporary??
If you are going to act like a normal person, leave the douchebaggery at the doorstep of VU, and actually be a contributing member of this club, then welcome.
But remember, respect is earned.
ps- if you have permanently left VU, then kudos.
More of its members should smarten up and follow suit.
If I were them, I'd be embarrassed to admit I'm affiliated with them in any way.
Ps please stop following the other members around in your cars in surrey they are not the ones that should be shot down as well they do not want the racing either

Excuse me I left that at the doorstep a long time ago and for the earning your respect I treat everyone equal as you saw at the meet you ass clown I have been hitting up the track for a while. So if you want to treat new members like shit that want to be involved it off legal racing until they earn your respect then I'll pass. Just to let you know I don't sport decals anymore or am I registered as a member of vu because I don't want to be involved in that scene!!!!
anyone else come in here expecting a shitload of soft core porn? but now they're looking at dumb ass street racers or whatever with a half chub (excitement) and sorta disappointed its nothing sexy but shits still funny regardless

You say this, yet you show up to "Cruise For a Cause" and drive like a moron. Talking about doing +180kms on the highway (remember, cruise, not race). TRYING to drift onto the on-ramp to the 99. Coating all the cars with dust and dirt as you "drift" out of the dirt parking lot in White Rock. How about chirping and spinning your tires ever chance you get......doesn't sound to me like you have left much of anything behind.
Decals or no decals, VU member or no VU member, if you drive like a MORON no one wants you around. Show some respect for others around you next time or get shunned from the car scene around Vancouver. Its simple.
Act like an idiot and you will be called out for it.
As for places to drift....there aren't any legal places to drift around Vancouver. If you want to do that there are some places in the states that offer schools and you can learn how to drift there.
Also, not really drifting, but you can try out Auto-X. Its a lot of fun, you get to push the car hard... and from time to time you may slide a but but it is not looked kindly upon at those events if you are trying to drift.
If you have come here for a fresh start, then good for you just clean up the behaviour on the road or do it on your own time when you are the ONLY one who will get hurt from your actions.

If you go into the valley they have some events, and I believe the island too.
They have already been told.
Buddy in the Vett leaving a parking lot with a PLAY GROUND next to it having the need to powerslide out and "impress" everyone.
Glad to see you are going to Auto-X, its loads of fun. Look forward to seeing you out there.
TransAm, Vette, GTS all had a nice run on the highway. There is some in car footage from the Civic that shows them all flying by....either way. Glad to see you have come over to the side of common sense and looking to do things in a more legal fashion.
As for the comments about speeding and or other issues, you are right other people may have done those things.
The highway portion of the cruise was faster then the posted speed limit (85'ish in an 80 for most cars) and this was to keep up with the current flow of traffic.
You are right, the black vette and couple other RWD cars dusted everyone in the parking lot, none got it worse than the yellow vette with the T tops that got rocks thrown all over him and the interior of his car filled with dust and sand.
The difference here between you and these guys is you were coming from a website that openly promoted street racing......this makes us ALL look bad. I enjoy REVscene and the car culture more of the people than anything. We get enough flack from locals and we get shut down or events are put to a halt.
You say you want no part of street racing yet you post about your racing another Skyline?
Don't get me wrong, we have all had out lapses in judgement from time to time when it has come to our cars but this is just plain stupidity.
I sincerely hope you have taken from this far more than just some other car club ragging on you or a club you were part of because there is a lot more here than just that. We want to be able to enjoy our meets without needing to involve cops because people want to drive like idiots. Spring meet was a great example...a select few could very well ruined it for the collective. Don't be one of those guys or you will be asked to leave (not said directly at you BTW, just a very general statement)
