No spherical bushings? what the hell man.

Paradise240 06-24-2012 07:36 PM

Jacked up my car, and got under it to find the rear main seal is leaking. Topped up a quart of oil, then my grandpa didn't know I did and he adds another 0.6quarts and now I just finished draining it out. Then celebrated with a car wash :alonehappy:

:okay:

firebird79_00 06-24-2012 07:40 PM

Drove it home from Pentiction and worked out the gas mileage, getting 25.1 MPG HWY. Not bad for a 4.6L V8

skylinergtr 06-25-2012 02:14 PM

replaced all the bulbs in my tail lights.

1 failed last week, another failed yesterday.

time to change them ALL!

Rear, shinyyy :D Still want some nice aftermarket wheels though :okay:

Oh, and went to get a wheel brush from Canadian Tire, came back out to a shopping cart against my car. Knicked part of the door handle bezel, sosad :(

Edit: why do those pictures make my car look like it's 4x4 status, it's decently dropped :suspicious:

fliptuner 06-25-2012 09:29 PM

belaud 06-25-2012 09:47 PM

Installed a new 3" SS exhaust I had built. Time to hit the dyno again.

They do take away from the look of the wheel but more importantly, they trap brake dust, grime and moisture and promote corrosion

Finally fixed the HVAC fan/motor unit. It was making obnoxiously unbearable clicking and whirring noises, along with the fan itself cutting in and out. My guess was just dust and particles getting into the motor or the bearings or some sorcery. However when I took it out, it looked rather clean to me.

It was an easy fix, but the unit itself was a bitch to get to. Beneath the glovebox/above the passenger footwell. Unclipped a large black plastic piece, three screws on the unit, while having my head essentially resting on the floormat looking upside down

Clicking noise and low fan speed is gone, but the whirring is still there. Probably going to order a new HVAC fan/motor unit.

bensta 06-27-2012 12:57 PM

put my silver sideskirts on finally (had black and a weird blue/silver shade before) and sanded my plenum on my intake to get prepped for polish.

it sure is a pain in the ass to sand away scratches/casting marks in metal to make it look pretty... but damn, its worth it

thats before polish.. ill get some pics after polish

jing 06-27-2012 01:38 PM

Hit and run on my front bumper yesterday afternoon. Asshole scratched it up but luckily it's not too noticeable and I should be able to hide most of it with a decent polish
