Just in time for the freezing temperature!
Now my hands are not freezing anymore when I grab the wheel, but the shift knob :heckno:

tofu1413 02-05-2014 11:59 PM

I think the weighted ZHP knobs are best.

bcrdukes 02-06-2014 12:04 AM

+1 ZHP knob

bcrdukes 02-06-2014 12:10 AM

Are you wearing Tretorn Skymras?

joquio 02-06-2014 12:15 AM

Nope, it's just some Jack Purcell that I picked up randomly.

Might pick one up.
What is it that you guys like about it?

tofu1413 02-06-2014 12:27 AM

decent weight for throws and is leather so you dont burn your hands in the summer or freeze during winter.

the way they shaped the knob, you can row through the gears with different ways of holding it..

joquio 02-06-2014 12:35 AM

Cool!
Good to know.
I'll be getting one to try then.

bcrdukes 02-06-2014 12:37 AM

If any manufacturer should design a shift knob, I'd say the ZHP should be the baseline.

Oh god if we're talking about the worst cold weather steering wheel, i've got that covered. Mine has two stainless steel inserts EXACTLY where one would put their hands to drive. Imagine grabbing those in -10 weather after you just woke up? Feels like a death sentence. :denied:

Got spare rear brakes.

Tore it down, cleaned them up, added a fresh coat of caliper paint, lubed the seals/pins and reassembled.

Waiting for new rotors and pads Before these go on

Man speaking of shifters , missed out on a used dinan one today sigh..

Guess it was destined for me to the z3 one :(

tofu1413 02-07-2014 01:03 AM

^ Z3 1.9 was pretty awesome... throw was basically like an S2000's.

It came with my E30 that I had before.... was so wicked. Lower shifter height as well :megusta:

knight604 02-07-2014 01:25 AM

I think 1.9 has the shortest throw iirc .. I'll probably get a new boot and knob from the new m5 and combo the z3 !
