Installed rad and intake, fixed the O2 sensor wiring, refilled the coolant system and fired it up for the first time this year :)

BRB. Let me write a letter to the race teams @ F1.

"Hey race team principle,

You can lay off your suspension engineers. Suspension setup, research, and development is not rocket science. You can save yourself hundreds of thousands.

Just get some BC Racing coilovers and you will achieve the same results as your custom-built Penske and Ohlins setup because Revscene members know better.

Regards,

bcrdukes"

Race teams know what the hell they need, 99% of the people modding their cars will not, hell 99% of drivers won't ever race their car. Sure you can get a custom setup, but then you need to know exactly what to order for your car. If the guy can't be bothered to do anything beyond tossing on his old stock suspension he's not gonna know or care what he will need to get for his car, nor will he even be able to tell the difference between a basic coilover and a custom setup because he's not gonna be driving the car hard enough to make much of a difference.

Replaced the crummy old stock front north-south crossmember bushings with solid aluminum ones from xiiimotorsports, the nose of the car appears to be tweaked slightly as the front holes weren't lining up with the crossmember until I pried the crossmember over enough to get the bolts in.

Can't access your build thread but I would love to see it. Where are you getting it installed?

started doing the two bucket method of washing at home in the parkade. So much cheaper than driving to richmond to use wand wash (I live dt).

Very impressed. Two 17l buckets from Home Depot $8 bucks, syn wash mit $4, 3.78 litres of auto wash soap from CT $12.99 (on sale).

No more need for driving all over the LML to wash my car :D

Haha you would love my house then.

I use my bedroom and spare room to store numerous parts (including wheels), and I use my bath tub regularly to clean moldings and trim pieces.

westopher 03-15-2014 12:16 AM

Lol that feeling of sitting on the side of a wet road, holding up your spare with your feet as you line up the fucking bolts.

hud 91gt 03-15-2014 09:16 AM

^I thought you put studs in that thing?

westopher 03-15-2014 06:43 PM

I did, however every car before this one I didn't. 10 years of driving with lug bolts you're bound to get a real wet ass on the side of the sea to sky highway. Never again.

IMASA 03-15-2014 06:57 PM

Swapped out the winter tires on the wife's CRV. Replaced the spark plugs and rear differential fluid as well.
