I live on a quiet street, but unfortunatly the curbs are dirt so it's rough and dirty. And with the rain it was incredibly unpleasant getting under the car to put the stands up. Annoyingly lordco gave me the wrong brake pads so I had to bike my ass down to their location and grab news ones. My bike had a flat tire and a wet seat so it was even more annoying of a day. I also put one of the brake pads on the wrong side(the metal piece that shims the rotor when the pad gets low was on the wrong side and rubbing on my rim.) I had to go to work so i bent the metal piece and switched the pads after work. Works great now. Next up is an exhaust system. Anyone have a suggestion for a 92 civic lx? I've been eyeing up a yonaka system but apparently the hangers don't line up correctly on some models.

This is my Dad's first attempt modding his car, not the best, but at least he doesn't buy cheap parts like I do.

underscore 03-26-2014 08:09 AM

Those look really cool, but do they have the right load rating for a van?

dared3vil0 03-26-2014 08:47 AM

They look cool, but racing brakes on a minivan...?

chrishk 03-26-2014 11:23 AM

waiting for my windows to be tinted as we speak! Pics to come :)

cruz-in 03-26-2014 03:20 PM

It's a goddamn shame it rubs in the back, and I don't have time to roll the rears in time for the meet. Pointless to put just the fronts on.

OH WELL. Time to sell.
Can't believe I passed on a trade for a set of TE37's cause they weren't white :QQ:
Desmond Wise Sports.
17x8/9 +30/35

Ignore the quarter louver. That thing flew off last year and I still haven't bothered to fix it.

17x9 +35 should fit in the rear no problem.. What tires are you running? I think 255/40s will rub unless fenders are rolled.

And where the heck did you find those Wise Sports? If I didn't already have my wheels, those would be off your hands and in my house in a heartbeat.

KingKaze 03-26-2014 09:08 PM

Recaro seats~

yup! , its pretty easy, the hardest part is the hiding of the wires. especially if you use bright colored wires lol

Yeah they should.
Except I don't like how it looks without the spacers. (I know, boo spacers. At least they're H&R)
Current setup is 17x7/8+18 It sits just right with space to run wider tires front/rear.

Options are:
- adjust to 0 Camber in the rear with no spacers. Time+money.
- Dial in an extra degree of camber. Dumb.
- Smaller spacers. Still need to fix camber.
- Roll/newspaper roll. No time, and fender roller hasn't arrived. Would also only consider doing it on a hot summer day. I juuuust repaired and painted the rear quarter because of rust.

Ideal setup is what I have now. Streetable stance + Look, with option of getting big meaty tires. Summer Grip car.

I also don't want to mess with my alignment, because I have it setup just perfect after a few tries. I'm not paying for another alignment just to look a little cooler, and sacrifice the fun grip.

I'm selling the entire braking setup soon, so if you're interested, let me know. Going back to stock for preference.
Selling ALL of it. Calipers, rotors, lines, BMC. Everything you need. Pads are still at 70% F/R.

mb_ 03-26-2014 10:10 PM

^Dibs. Wasn't planning on getting BBK for a while but if the price is right I'll take them off your hands.

Or we can trade so I don't have to spend as much haha but mine is a 92 if that matters

kakucaekz 03-26-2014 10:17 PM

SpuGen has a 93, so his stock setup is the sought after 93+ brake upgrade haha.

mb_ 03-26-2014 10:28 PM

But did dukes give him the stock brakes.. :considered:

SpuGen 03-26-2014 10:39 PM

Nope.
Rotora BBK front. Caliper/Rotor
Rotora Slotted rear Rotors, 93 Calipers
Braided Lines

And what I believe is a 4Runner ABS BMC.

According to this.

Maybe dukes can chime in.

bcrdukes 03-26-2014 11:45 PM

Yup, it's from a 4Runner. There were no re-man'd MR2 specific ones available (at the time) and if they were, they were insanely expensive.

RCubed 03-27-2014 12:02 AM

did some late night hooning. =p
