How're your turbos holding up?

My turbos are holding up strong even with a tune. No wastegate rattles as well. But I'm scared for this car. Turbos, waterpump, thermostat, might go any moment, leaving me with thousand of dollars in repairs and I would have to tow it. I really love this car though, so I don't want to sell, but might have to get a secondary car.

Gave it a good pressure wash, was going to clay/seal/wax it, but i realized i have about six billion rock chips on the hood/bumper... Need to look at my options on getting those repaired... Should of bought a clear bra. :okay:

Finished rebuilding my shifter.

Shifts are crisper and more direct. Took all of the slack too, but it wasn't too bad to begin with.

AIRCARE you will not be missed!

They will probably replace Aircare with a vehicle inspection that covers everything at an "approved" facility like Chitty Tire. If that's the case, I will miss Aircare.

From '77-'83 we had mandatory annual inspections at public inspection stations.

Bled the brakes, replaced fuel filter and a couple old fuel hoses. Realized brake booster isn't working. +10 for manual braking!!! One more thing to fix.

Oh and gave the interior a quick vacuum and rub down.

fliptuner 04-11-2014 06:41 PM

Looking good. Did you get it through inspection or still on permits?

hud 91gt 04-11-2014 07:58 PM

Oh it's a long ways from inspection, heck it's a long way from a permit :p But I do have some parts on the way. Trying to learn carburetors haha. Once I get it running properly i'll be much happier. A few new parts in the mail, including some bushings which I think could be an issue at inspection. Brake booster problem is next. Sure would be nice to have a proper place to work on it. It's a project, what can I say.

Fixed my lip alignment.

Went for a drive.

Mashed it coming out of the parking lot.

Now I need to fix it again. :alonehappy:

The original seats were tan which I think looks better, the top should be black while the bottom should be tan but I threw black racing seats in there lol. Kinda want some tan leather racing seats :3
