My co-worker once got a ticket for having an unsecured load, when CVSE saw a Kleenex fly out the box. :lol

finally started on the dash swap, luckily we set up the tent in time because 10 mins after i took this picture it rained harder than i have ever seen it rain in my life for about 5 minutes

http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/...psdj6pkwnm.jpg

had to clean up some wiring, extend things, hardwire the dash cam and wire in another socket for a lighter. i will be going back to run the camera on a switch eventually

http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/...ps192xwiuy.jpg

the dash mat and guage holders all came together nicely

http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/...psdk8vuntq.jpg

a quick shot after everything was done :) to those not aware, the whole console of the crx faces the driver compared to the civic one that faces straight back

the gf's mom got me a snail so i made use of it

http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/...psrdymzk1l.jpg

http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/...psovodyuy4.jpg

i also needed another hood for something im doing and ended up comming home with the whole front end

The cold idle is rough! I have upgraded motor/diff mounts on the Miata and it doesn't even come close. Thankfully once it's warmed up you don't really notice the vibration, when you shift it's a lot smoother with the upgraded RMM. Like when you shift at a higher rpm the car isn't as jerky so in some ways it makes the car more comfortable/refined. Have yet to launch the car hard to really feel the effect but I think if you plan on doing power upgrades in the future it's worthwhile.

There's a lot more options out there for FoST though, probably cheaper than Cobb

Everything fits perfectly, just got to finish up the wiring, give her some power, and start her up prior to paint. While the body is in paint the engine will get some more goodies (To be continued :))

I did so much over the past few days. Cleaned out the throttle body, FITV and IACV :) No more idle problems and sticky throttle cable. Air seems to run so much smoother now. Bled the coolant afterwards to get rid of any air bubbles that may be hidden in any of the lines.

little videos that I made of me doing it, I probably messed something up though knowing my luck.

dirty IACV:

And I picked up my Spoon calipers from GarageFive as they told me they could probably fix my broken bleeder screw but I think they just made it a lot worse:

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...pse94f93af.jpg

My poor Spoons! :( :(
They tried EasyOut but they just broke the drill bit and now looks like the bit is stuck in there. The edge of where the bleeder screw goes in is chipped now too :'(

So I had to put my OEM calipers back on but with brand new hawk pads and new OEM bleeder screws.

Bleeding brake lines are fun

in conclusion: I miss my Spoon Sports calipers :tears:

Akinari 05-22-2014 09:53 PM

^^^Ouch, sorry to hear. How was the actual interaction between you and GarageFive after realizing what had happened?
