Replaced my pads with ferodo DS2500 pads today. Still actually had like 50% on my pads surprisingly enough, after 30k, and a few HPDEs. OEM BMW pads are pretty impressive. Looks like a have some backups. And yes thats a leash holding up the caliper to avoid stressing the brake lines.:hotbaby:

Next time you're in there, might want to wire brush and lube those coil threads.

westopher 06-08-2014 01:00 PM

Yeah I noticed that too. I'm going to do rotors in a month or so, so I'll deal with it then. Pretty surprised the coils look that shitty already. Although, I turned the locking collar on both sides (not the perch) when I saw how haggard they were but they still spun freely surprisingly.

bcrdukes 06-08-2014 01:04 PM

Which coilovers are you running again?

westopher 06-08-2014 01:11 PM

They are just FKs. Not bad for cheap coils. They drive better than the PSS9s I've had on another car but worse than the Konis I've had.

The weird part is that it connects a metal pipe that is bolts to the motor to another metal pipe that is bolted to the motor. There's several little hoses like that on those motors and I can't for the life of me figure out why they even exist.

Cunit: Fender Mirrors?

westopher 06-11-2014 10:35 AM

To tide me over from buying an e92 M3. Makes the car feel 10 years newer. Excuse the mess. The interior needs some minor love.
