First I hunted down the wires that control the cluster turn signal indicator on the bike, then I rewired them with diodes so I have functional turn signals complete with cluster indicator. I just need to rewire/rejig the headlight bulb and all the "custom" wiring will be cleaned up.

Noran 07-01-2014 10:02 AM

CEL popped up at autocross on Sunday. Plugged in my laptop after my run to figure out what it was since the car wasn't in limp mode or acting strange at all. Same code as last time - daughter board communication failure, low voltage when cranking. I just got a new battery and I checked my alternator and it was fine. Additionally I was at a/x so I was revving the piss out of my car with no accessories on so my battery shouldn't be low on juice. Last night I was rummaging around forums and Hondata recommends changing the ECU ground from the intake manifold to the valve cover stud. Re-uploaded my calibration and the CEL went away. :fuckyeah: I thought it was only recommended to change the ground if there was a K20a swap involved.

Also, installed rear wiper delete - thanks to ICE BOY for the hookup on OEM Honda plug. For those of you who browse chat and see him talking about butt plugs and "flip's jizz hole", that's what he's talking about :lol

Insured the Silvia. Brand new OE navan bumper installed. Put back on the work meisters
Was not able to locate OE euro headlights as it is discontinued, but have set of JDM headlights coming in.
Miss driving this car so much

rear of the car shifted... damaged trunk. damaged spoiler...

no parts available local.. probably first local evo 5 write off :okay:

westopher 07-01-2014 11:33 AM

That fucking sucks. This is the most worrisome part of having an older awesome car, thats worth peanuts but borderline irreplaceable.

A white Evo V was written off in Port Moody earlier this year. ICBC pretty much writes off any RHD car that has damage. Even if you just had bumper damage they'd write it off.
