I think I still have a VR lip if it'll fit.

Phil@rise 07-18-2012 10:10 AM

Put the R/T back on the road. Fitted up some new rubbers on the front yesterday and replaced a leaking power steering line and burned gas lots of gas. A fair bit of rubber too lol just tryin my best to fit into surrey.

yeah, mk3 vr lips fit, a little trimming and encouraging with a heat gun and its one of the better fits you can get!

It's a shame. With the current high fuel prices, some people are cheaping out on gas thinking the knock sensor will retard the timing enough to run the car safely on 87 octane.

That's the problem. Depending on how far back the car is programmed to retard the timing, it may not be enough to prevent detonation.
Especially if the car is designed to run on 91 octane and the owner uses 87 for an extended period of time.

I always see your car parked on a street, which won't be named and I always take a look at it. It's very eye catching and clean :)

nice work! I've contemplated doing the samething, but I'm a little hesitant knowing that my quarters will most likely buckle before I get a pull like that.
What type of tools did you use? Just a roller?

nabs 07-18-2012 06:10 PM

My car has a knock sensor, so i'm sure it will be fine. [reply to sumazndude]

I got the Oil Change done Full Synthetic oil - previous owner let it go 20k+ km's without a change =(

Radiator Flush

New Air Filter and Cabin Air Filter...

and gave it a nice long bath =)

I used a roller and heatgun....always keep the metal warm and the panel won't buckle.

I had Jason at Dale's do my bi-yearly alignment. This time with less emphasis on performance, and more emphasis on style. Fuck these new laws, the gov't isn't going to get my car.

Anyway... the end result.

the incline is being caused by a shadow.

its actually a flat driveway

That's not a shadow, that's the edge of the driveway.

Meh, whatever. I still love that car. I don't think you need a roll, unless you space it out more. I think it looks fine the way it is.

It means that even though we beat the Nazis in 1945, some of them survived to join BC politics.
