Bled my new bent/flared hard lines. Was super impressed at how firm they felt until I spotted a small leak on the right rear wheel cylinder. Tried cinching it up. Nothing. Decide i'll make a new line, disassemble and remake. Rebleed. Same issue, but now I have no pressure at all! I sure hope I didn't strip the aluminum wheel cylinder. Argh

Got new plates for my car a month earlier than intended. New plate formates are ab1 23c instead of just 123 ABC.

Prepping parts for a twincam/5spd swap on my Corolla (from 1.2(3K)/2spd auto to 1.6(2TG)/ 5spd (T50)). Scraping/cleaning crud off 40 year old parts is nasty but gratifying.

^ Looks great.
Round two of spark plug wires. Bolted up the refinished sway bar but unfortunately the new shiny bushings wouldn't fit. The old ones were still in decent shape, but just ugly as hell. Oh well. Works for now.
Replaced a fuel line or two. Getting so close now!

There should be a gasket available for yours locally, no?
The roll of gasket material is only about $10 and enough to do probably 3 I6 intakes plus other, smaller ones.
The only set I could find was in Australia. $350, 2 weeks away and still didn't include the intake and exhaust gaskets.

Most of the rat shit and acorns removed 
After a good clean and degrease 
Now I have something to work with  
The shitty thing is, everything I bolt back on is going to look like crap unless it's thoroughly cleaned and/or painted. So off to media blasting on Monday, then rebuild the alternator, starter and distributor.

I went to swap out the deck in the Jeep for one I had kicking around with an XM -> AUX input, only to realize that the deck that has been in it for the last ~6 years has the same XM jack and I could've just added the AUX at any time. So I've been listening to the radio and two CD's for the last few years for no fucking reason. Fuck you Alpine and your stupid decks with AUX turned off by default. Dumb fucking bastards.
I also swapped the accessory belt on the Jeep and cleaned it out to prepare for an Ikea run tomorrow and used my favourite tool (hammer) to get my stupid alternator air duct away from the downpipe on the GTFour.

Wrapped my intercooler cold pipe and ECU in DEI Reflect-A-Gold.
The upper cold pipe sits very close to the radiator hoses and quickly heat soaks. 
I installed a battery box that allows me to run a smaller battery and offers more room for a larger intake. As a result, I had to remove the ECU cover. I'm hoping this tape offers some thermal protection as the ECU sits about a foot away from the turbo. 
The gold is pretty gaudy, and it's hard to avoid wrinkles. Good thing that you can barely see the cold pipe when installed.  | |

There's no decent selection of exhaust manifolds for my car that aren't ridiculously priced, so until I find something good used, I decided to use the stock piece. It actually flows pretty decent, being a 4-2-1 design when used with the factory downpipe and reduces the chance of interfering with the steering linkage. Only real problem is that it's fucking ugly.
Decided to clean it up a bit by removing some unnecessary bits and casting flash. I'm only 1/2 done as I need a carbide burr to clean between the runners.   
Also disassembled and cleaned the distributor and rebuilt the alternator.

Looks great. I'm going to do the same as unless I spend $1500 on a high quality piece, the stock one seems to be better then the junk that's out there. How are you going to protect it from rusting again. I know Eastwood makes some products, but I don't know if they are high heat.
The 240z passed it's provincial inspection today. They also gave me a "Nice job" on the work that I did. ha.
But now ICBC is screwing with me trying to get it registered. 3 different bloody answers. I just want to drive my baby!
