Flaking clearcoat on wheels sucks.

After scraping off the loose stuff:

Pulled tire off, aircraft stripped the lip, sanded with 120/240/400:

2 light and 1 med coat of paint a 2 coats of clear:

Just have to buy some valve stems and remount the tires once the paint cures.

Put the M3 to storage.
Snatched up a GPW S2000 to drive for the next couple months :)

Spent about 5 hours to clean up the interior real good and washed and waxed the car.

Agreed, get something with lots of engine bay room. Having to remove and reinstall a bunch of unrelated stuff every time something goes wrong in a cramped bay is very discouraging (and wastes a lot of time).

In other words, don't buy a Jaguar XJ12. :lol

Got some OEM bumper hole plug thanks to a-zine guy in texas

Washed it

Deleted the plate

Applied acura decal

Relocated it thanks to Speed Syndicate for hooking up the kit

that looks sick dude. fantastic mods. i'd gloss black the grille and badge myself, but the chrome doesn't look bad.

Fuel pump and fuel filter finally come into pt roberts for my e46. Swapped out the pump and my car is running once again. Will be doing the filter this weekend for maximum fuel flow.

Thanks man, was thinking plastidip for the front grille but maybe gloss black vinyl wont look as cheap and ghetto.

Shameless plug for traffic to build thread.

Made a fibreglass seat pan for the cafe racer.

Great build man.

Replaced one of my coolant temperature sensors today. What a fucking pain in the ass that was. In the process I managed to lose a retaining clip for one of my fuel injectors and also some how broke the retaining clip on the throttle cable. :fuuuuu: It's now currently held in place with zap straps while I seek out a replacement online. :okay:

Lomac 10-03-2014 08:19 PM

Fuck. To make matters worse, my car slipped out of gear and took off for a walk by itself down my townhouse complex. Ended up taking out a no parking sign and decided to rest on a raised grass divider. Luckily no real damage to my car (small scratch on the underside of the rear bumper) and the strata president just laughed and said he didn't care about the sign.

:rant

Maybe I should avoid cars for a while... :lol

dared3vil0 10-03-2014 09:56 PM

I'm sorry if i don't fully understand what you meant, but wouldn't the ebrake hold the car is it slipped out of gear?

Lomac 10-03-2014 10:32 PM

Theoretically, yes... provided I wasn't waiting for my new cable to arrive from Rockauto...

88SupraT 10-03-2014 10:35 PM

installed the oem type r catback i picked up last night onto my integra, noticeable increase in response. Wanted to install the type r rear sway bar I picked up too but didn't have the brackets that fit over the bushings :okay:

Akinari 10-03-2014 11:59 PM

Had a valve adjustment and oil change done  car idles much smoother and overall the valve noise has noticeably decreased.

LP700-4 10-04-2014 09:56 PM

Debadged the "Acura" as I saw no need for it since there is already the logo in the middle

Started like this

Became this

Ended up like this

Think it cleaned up the rear a bit. Really want to lower my car but then my alley looks like this

Don't even get me started on my driveway :fuckthatshit:

c4@urdoor 10-04-2014 10:49 PM

The TL typeS emblem looks off now that it's alone. Would look much cleaner if you removed it as well.

underscore 10-05-2014 08:30 AM

Since you already pulled the ACURA, I'd pull the A logo and just leave the TL type S emblem.

fliptuner 10-05-2014 08:44 AM

Lol, I'd do the opposite - leave the logo and remove the TL TypeS badge.

My ADD has a thing about symmetry.
