Gave her a quick no-rinse wash...next wash will probably be the full pre-winter detail and when I put the winters on.

Pretty sure the A in the center has holes behind it, the corner badges don't

Fought with these stupid lock washers on my hubs today, they are put on at the factory as a sort of retaining clip for the rotors until final assembly- worked fine with stock wheels but i realized with the aftermarket wheels it caused them to not sit perfectly flush as they are only on one of the five studs. Had an annoying vibration at higher speeds that now appears to be corrected. Placebo or not IDFK.

(Yes rust was cleaned off :) )

lowered the front a bit and got a front alignment

Took off Private Label MFG Race header and Apex'i WS2 and put the stock exhaust back on. Put some tires with decent tread on the stock wheels and those on as well. Thanks ICE_BOY for grinding my nuts and giving me good rubber.

And then sold it.

fliptuner 10-05-2014 11:43 PM

Pretty sure my fresh nuts and deep rubber got your car sold.

Noran also some nasty rash that I had to ... clean up.

^^^:awwyeah:

Took a set of junky rims and made them suitable for winter use.

Garnet blasted, filled rash and gouges w/ JBWeld, prepped and painted.

The_AK 10-06-2014 07:13 PM

my license plate fell off today... :( so going to have to put that back on tomorrow

westopher 10-06-2014 08:47 PM

Whats next Noran?

Noran 10-06-2014 09:09 PM

Slowly looking around. S2k, ITR, and Evo VI are peaking my interest right now.

In no rush. Would like to have a car by April but I plan on keeping the next car I get for a while. I drove a Lan-Evo IV a few years ago and it left a lasting impression.

J.C 10-06-2014 09:18 PM

ripped apart underside of the fender liner
broke a few fog light bezel tabs

scrape atleast 4 times just leaving my alley everyday and my rear hasn't been touched yet :okay:
on the bright side, i don't rub at all!

Big thanks to ICE BOY Super-Style (SS) Motor works. As mentioned, he garnet blasted, jb weld repaired, painted and mounted tires to the rims in less than 4 hours. You'll be lucky to get an oil change and a car wash in that time frame at most dealerships.

Center caps don't match, 2/10 wouldn't use.

Cant shift into any gear. Could be tranny, shift linkage, clutch or master clutch slave. I cant even move it out of the garage unless i push it.

fliptuner 10-07-2014 11:51 AM

How's the clutch pressure? Fluid topped up? See any leaks behind the clutch master, along the lines or near the slave?

Linkage doesn't usually fail to the point where you can't even shift.

What happened the last time you drove it?

hud 91gt 10-07-2014 12:12 PM

Probably something as simple as the slave cylinder. $40 later your on the road….. I mean, err sell it to me.

Thanks, glad you like them. After the winter when I'm done beating the shit out of the rims, I'll make sure to paint them again and the centercaps before I enter "the green beast" for the Ridler award at Detroit Autorama. Maybe I'll even trailer the beast down to Pebble Beach for the Concours d'Elegance next August.

:awwyeah: I can picture it now

hmm...the last few times i was able to drive it....there was very little clutch pressure. If/When i could shift into a gear, my foot was like one inch off the floor. When the car is off, no problem shifting into gear.

Almost at the state where i wanna give up on this car and buy a new one.
