Put on winter tires because I ran over a screw… Notice one winter is low… It also has a screw in it. :failed:

BMW_freak 10-18-2014 03:31 PM

toyota86 10-18-2014 03:41 PM

Replaced all the speakers in the Jeep with some finessing, Alpines up front and Sony's in the back (PnP finds). Ermagerd the difference is incredible, but fuck you Chrysler and your stupid speaker sizing. Now I'm gonna go figure out why the sub won't turn off.

Took the MR2 off-roading.

Washed it. Very carefully.

Stuffed her into the garage she's gonna be stored in. Gotta talk to the guys at FastTrack and see if they can fix her quickly, before month end.

Took the winter car out, and immediately drove it over to the shop and slapped my old seat in.

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...pscweosjiw.jpg

I had this seat in my old DA9, simply cuz I used to sit with the seat straight up, and my stupid head would hit the ceiling on bumps and whatnot. So my dad helped me source this generic, most likely China branded seat. It works. I want it in this car cuz it sits lower, and I prefer a lower seating position. And also, a part of my old DA lives on :tears:

Here it is in my old red DA. Learned to drive on this car, so sad it got totalled.

Figured out the sub in the Jeep, turns out some Bazooka tubes have a jumper that you can use to manually turn it off/on instead of the remote wire and I had left the jumper on when I installed it since I didn't know what it did.

The drive to/from the ski hill is gonna be a LOT more enjoyable this year.

FMIC part 1

Got all the old stuff off
Mounted new crash bar, core, bov, and power steering cooler
Need to get longer hoses to relocate trans cooler and tighten all the clamps

If I parked my car in that garage I couldn't sleep at night. Would just keep thinking something is about to fall onto it.

In for more updates though :)

Put the stupid fan shroud and intake back on the FC today, fired it up and it sounds like the ancient exhaust has sprung a leak halfway down the body so now I get to fix that. Wooooooo.

Also unclogged the grungy hatch glass drain line thingies, whatever those are called.

Nice work. Looks like you cooked it right before it got to the rivets and scored the flywheel.

BTW, is that a jack on a 2x6, on a spare? :troll:

mb_ 10-20-2014 03:45 PM

Who said scissor jacks are useless :troll: realized I didn't have another jack stand so had to improvise :lawl:

Garage smelled like burnt clutch when the transmission popped out :heckno:

$60 for a pair of "premium" front rotors w/ free shipping :fuckthatshit:

http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ps6b6f2472.jpg

Got off class and UPS delivered them to my door at 6:30, then i went straight to work.
Declared weight was 31lbs but when the UPS delivery man brought it to my door, he was like "wtf is in here? this is not 31 pounds"

Yea, changed them a week ago then realizing i needed front rotors as only half the new pads come in contact with the surface of the rotors.

I agree, but even with low cost parts on rockauto, shipping and custom fees kills the deal. I also dont drive down to the states so picking them up at the border isnt an option. Another good reputable site comparable to rock auto but located in Canada is Auto Parts in Canada! - Canada Auto Parts Online. However u gotta spend over 100 to get free shipping and my rotors were outta stock too.

My choices were
-$60 per quality rotor (with discount applied) at lordco
-$50 per crap quality rotor at crappy tire
-$30 per crap quality rotor on Prime Auto Choice

Considering that I'm a low budget student, and the unknown duration on how long I'm gonna keep the car for and the fact that they're only rotors, I went with the china brand renamed product (Worse can happen is warped rotors in 6 months); However if we were talking about head gaskets, alternators, starters and ect, I wouldn't jeopardize the cost of labor on installation with those cheap china parts.

hud 91gt 10-21-2014 11:25 AM

Better to cheap on the brakes :p

I'm just buggin ya haha
