Stock airbox didn't fit with the intercooler pipes so had to improvise. Bought a prelude intake for $10, cut it down to make a d.i.y SRI. Paired with a K&N filter.

Bust out the Dremel.

J.C 10-22-2014 07:02 PM

i sandwiched my trans cooler between my radiator and fmic, but doing that forced me to bolt the core further up, looks like i have to get longer hoses and move my trans cooler beside the horns and push my core back

Gh0stRider 10-22-2014 11:31 PM

Filled her up with a 70/30 mix of 94 and E85.

I don't know how much power my car makes now but it feels much much faster.

Someone needs to bring an E85 station to Vancouver or Richmond!

dared3vil0 10-26-2014 10:22 PM

^ I'm sure you know, but there's Arcade Fuel in north van that stocks E85.

toyota86 10-26-2014 10:27 PM

Did a few things over the weekend.

1. Changed transmission oil back to the BMW spec MTL.

2. Changed diff fluid back to BMW spec oil + lsd additive. No more noise during slow speed cornering now.

3. Clutch delay valve removed and the system bled.

4. Fixed the inner lip of the rear quarters. Last owner was one of those "stance" people and ruined the paintwork on the inside of the quarters. I had to grind down the surface rust, prep the metal, then used 2 stage epoxy primer, then 3m euro textured chassis paint. Back to OEM rust free condition.

4. While waiting for the quarters to dry, touched up most of the rock chips on the car.

5. Removed all spacers from the car. Got a set of square ZCP wheels mounted. No rubbing.

6. Bought a extra key because the car only came with one.

Haha nope. Dinan is too conservative and no longer meets my needs. JB4 is the way to go with these cars.

back from the body shop and deleted the chrome mustache, chrome trim on badges and the rear trunk chrome handle. looks better body color to begin with imo.

Curious as to if they'd fit or not. Stock Evo VI wheels are 17x7.5 +38 and mine are 17x8 +38. Don't know if it'll clear the brakes or not without a spacer.
