Cleaned my transmission :lawl:

Noran 12-14-2014 01:24 PM

Wow. That's a lot cleaner than most of the trannies I've seen.

'nomesayn'?

Had some bad experiences in Thailand. I'd rather not talk about it.

Finished the last stage of the detail (had to wait for sealant to cure before applying wax). All done now and I'm happy with the correction and reflectiveness, especially for white.

Painted it again, the last time was a flop due to materials. Black Granite Pearl (Subaru) is an amazing color.

1990 500SL:

replaced distributor caps & rotors, coolant flush, brake flush, repaired fog light wiring, cleaned the intake, and replaced the CIS injection EHA Valve.

Recently had the whole car repainted too (work not done by me).

Over the last couple of days swapped auto to manual pedal box, blast/rebuilt/paint/install brake and clutch master cylinders and brake booster, installed engine crossmember, steering, suspension and brakes.

As it was when I pulled it:

Just need to sort out a different throttle pedal/cable setup and get a new clutch/machine flywheel before installing the engine/tranny.

Not officially full beater spec.

I don't even change the oil. It burns itself off FOR ME.
Constant pour of fresh oil.

I admire your patience and attention to detail. Also admire your access to a sand blaster. Ha

Lol, thanks man. If I had my way I'd break everything right down and freshen them up but it just isn't feasible with the time and space I'm working with. Luckily, a buddy has a blasting cabinet I can use that I can exchange for doing some maintenance on his car.
