Continuation
Had to wait for a sunny day to be able to pull the motor
Thanks to Airtools pulling the motor is not as time consuming and tiring anymore!
I pulled a motor yesterday too but the cherry picker was inaccessible and there wasn't enough room in front of the car.

Seemed like a really nice and complete car, odd it's gettin the tear down...
Yup I am the new owner and I did intend to bring the car back to life again
even had a supercharger and turbo for her!
But i just decided to get my dream car now so unfortunately this money pit needs to go.lol
Definitely more than one way to do it. You use what you have and make it work.

Here's how I did it:
Spoiler!
After disconnecting the usual stuff, remove all bolts for rear mount bracket (4 on a D/B), leave the L/R mounts bolted.
-w/ jack under rad support, lower the car almost as far as it'll go (no bumper/lip = lower and worth the trouble to remove)
-arrange wood blocks under the oilpan and trans
-lower car til the drivetrain just starts to sit on the wood
-remove L/R motor mounts
-jack the body up
----check when the rear mount is free and pull it out
-keep jacking the car up and make sure the drivetrain is stable on it's own
-when u max out the jacking height, put a couple of stands under the front rockers
-at this point I put a couple of 2x4's on the jack and lifted from the LCA (as you see in pic) cause it's lower and I could get the front higher
----it doesn't matter that you're lifting from one side cause there's no weight on the front, so the nose just goes straight up
-make sure to re-adjust your jackstands every 4" or so, just in case
-once the lower rad support clears the VC by 4-5" you're good
After that I just lined up some 2x4's and moved the drivetrain forward. Ideally you'd have an extra hand. I got it well in front of the car and onto a dolly by myself but it was a bit cumbersome.
Since you have a cherry picker and some space, instead of using the jack, you could run a chain between the tow hooks and pick it up from the middle. You should be able to get it as high as you need in one lift. Just make sure you have stands under the rockers and pull that rear mount when it's loose or it'll bind on the crossmember and want to tip the motor forward.

Two car shaped snow piles. Wonder what's under them?
My dog waiting for me to throw a snowball while shovelling snow.
Ah hah! I knew there was a car somewhere in there!
Had to dig my way into the Saab to try and find some tools I forgot to pull out of the trunk before parking it for winter. Thankfully it has fold down seats, so I only had to dig my way to the door. Do have to say, however, that crawling through the interior in order to pull down the seats (while using the ski access hatch in the rear seats) is a fucking pain in the ass.
Gave cars a rinse and gave all the wheels and brakes a good and thorough cleaning, including barrels. Gave all the wheel wells a good rinse and de-salting too.

Finally got off my ass and replaced the stock boost gauge.
Factory cluster.
Digital display gauge in.
Reassembled the cluster.
I then discovered a small crack in mine, probably from taking it off. Plus, the entire thing is scratched up anyway, so I'm gonna see if I can order a new one tomorrow. Hopefully there's some in stock somewhere D:
Still gotta wire the gauge up, but I need to be in the car to do that, so that'll hopefully be next weekend.

Made a wiring harness from scratch for the '59, matching the factory diagram for colours. Many volkswagen and Audi harnesses were harmed in the course of the last two days. Should have just bought a new harness for the car, but that's another story.
